we’re you two living under a rock. It was reported by multiple outlets that teams were inquiring about him. And we flat out told them he’s not available.

“A Trail Blazers executive said the team did not make Simons available in potential trades this summer, RealGM reports. "There was a reason we told teams to stop asking about him in trades," the executive said. "You want to see second-year guys dominate here (Summer League) and he did that. He's been one of the best players here. The kid just works."

I don't see anything in here that says teams were drooling over him. Olshey saying teams were asking if he is available is much different than teams offering solid players in return for him. I have not seen a report of any specific player being offered for him.

Yes he does. He's 20 and has a long way to go and an even longer brilliant career ahead of him. I know this is sacrilege, but due to size and age, I'd take Doncic. Dame is incredible but Doncic is generational, has more size, is a more natural passer and will get better as a shooter.

You're right, Luka normally has a hard time being effective, it's just Portland and their horrible roster that are having trouble defending him.

We found a way to defend Doncic. Leave his teammates so open that they don’t need him to score and he has an average game (for him).

This post is ridiculous. If you don’t think that switching Whiteside and Swanigan out on Doncic is an ineffective strategy, then you are just commenting just to be contradictory. And if that is the case, please ignore my posts and I’ll ignore yours.

I think both are major liabilities on defense. Whiteside is solid inside 5ft. Using either of them to blitz, double, hedge, switch, etc is going to be a disaster.
