Before it was announced, did you think Lillard would be voted in as an All-Star reserve?

I love Batum but Vonleh is going to make that trade look just as bad as the gerald-Brooklyn one in the near future.

So that's why we traded Batum

Batum's two games against Portland encapsulate Batum at his Batumiest. First game against Portland was his 4th best game ever. Tonight might have been his worst game ever (EDIT: it was his 3rd-worst). You get both when he's on your team. Batum giveth, and Batum taketh away.

Now that you mention it, Batum was the first guy that I heard say that...actually compared him to Brandon Roy when Crabbe first got to start for Nic's injury
I remember Nic making that comparison. Didn't see it myself, and still don't; but I remember it.

Crabbe nowhere close to roy handles, but could be a poor man's klay potentially
I wouldn't trade him for a lotto pick. Maybe for #1 or #2.

I was shocked when Nic mentioned Roy..I don't see it either. He's going to be a better 2 guard, sf than Wes was....he's better than Wes right now

Crabbe is no Roy, however you can see that he has soaked up a lot of knowledge over the few years he's been here. You can see Wes, Batum and CJ in his game. He is a smart player, better keep him.

Nic reminded me over and over tonight why he drove me crazy. Not his missed shots, but the 6 turnovers. Yes he ad 8 assists, but his TO's were ugly. Many of them were just plain stupid. He should not have tried the pass.

Sorry, but he's not better than Wes. At least not yet. Wes was still a better defender and had a more diverse offensive game. Or are you talking maverick wes? Then sure.

Wes had a more versatile offensive game? Wow I do not see that at all. I think the exact opposite. Crabbe has a mid range game and a floater to go along with his 3 ball. AND he can finish on the fast break. Wes was horrible on the fast break. Yes Wes could post up better, but that's it.

Wes and fastbreaks.... *cringe*

I think he's talking that max-contract guy on Dallas who is playing 33 mpg, but only has a PER of 11.6?

Just to be clear I am not saying Crabbe is better than Wes in his prime just yet, just that he has more versatility in his offensive game. Wes was still good, but in different ways.

I was saying I would start him back during the summer league.

It was kind of funny, Crabbe's 1st game this year in Summer league was not great as I recall. But then he looked really good until he got hurt. Yet many posters for some reason were still bashing him in summer league. He showed a lot of growth in the few games he played. You could see his confidence build.

What do you mean that's it? That's a go to play. If crabbe had it we'd be contenders.

You mean the 2-3 times a game that he tried it was a difference maker? He could only do it against certain players. And if he tried it any more than those few times a game, the other team would have adjusted and doubled him. And Wes is not a good passer, so that would have been a disaster. Seriously, Wes did not post up that many times a game. It was a nice change of pace when he did it, but it wasn't like we could run the offense around it.

I think we can finish at 44-38. That's 5 games over .500 the rest of the way or .647
If they keep playing like this while improving.

Funny cuz over 20% of his points came from post ups. It wasn't a change of pace. It was a part of his game he really developed and made him, and in turn the offense that much more dynamic. If you want to talk about something actually used only two times a game, talk about Crabbes floater.

You do realize that 20% of his 15 points per game average is only ........3 points a game.

So he made every shot he took when he posted up?

I would guess some nights he was 1-2 and other nights he was 2-3. I didn't say he wasn't good at it, I am just saying he didn't do it very often.

yup..this season's Wes...prefaced it with going to be as good as Blazer Wes. 3 and D guy

Wes's signature shot was his step back 3 on the right side of the court.

That shit was money!

It amazed me how he would drain that over anyone; even over much taller players, and great defenders.
