Normally, I am a "screw individual stats, just win!" guy. I am not naive enough, however, to think this game is on a level playing field. If the Blazers get within shouting distance you can bet foul trouble and ejections for bogus techs will rain from the heavens.

If we can't win, having Dame ruin their party is the next best thing.

ESPN just cut to the crowd outside Staples and I swear to god I heard them chanting "Ju-sef Nur-kic" obviously they weren't but why did I think I heard that? Maybe it was the audio from the Rockets game overlapping the video from Staples I don't know but it tripped me out

SOOOOO many people outside Staples. Man, this is going to be seriously emotional.

2007 Blazers at Lakers is on NBA TV right now. I guess Kobe scores 24 pts in the 4th for a total of 65 and they beat us in OT.

DAN DICKAU ALERT

p.s. how did we watch TV before HD?

I was at that game. You can prob see me on TV as I was behind the basket like 4 rows up.

I left in awe. That's actually the point I stopped being a super rabid Kobe hater.

I chose 82 points for Lillard and the loss. That would be remembered forever. A win in this game, even making the playoffs by 1 game this season, would soon be forgotten (unless we won the title, but I'm not considering that).

Could you imagine the excitement you would feel watching Lillard pour in 82...I would lose it.

He be like "eat a dick lebron, I'm going to carry the legacy"

Can’t wait for the game... who cares who wins this game. It’s all about Kobe. Love him or hate him. We should all appreciate what he brought to the game. RIP Kobe and thank you.

Im not watching the game tonight.

While I respect Kobe and all, all this laker dickriding will make me physically ill.

I could barely see the players faces clearly with that non HD shit I promise I couldn't see anyone in the crowd. However, it was fun to watch.

I wonder what kind of pre game "speech" Stotts or Lillard gives the team prior to a game like this. This is probably the most unique circumstance prior to any NBA game ever right? I think about the L.A. Riots, that was weird. What else? Does anything come close? So interesting to me.

The Blazers have a big game tomorrow at home. If the refs are ludicrous in their calls, I hope Stotts would put in the worst players we have and call the BS.
Call it a rest game for our team.
I would not do that if the officiating is fair.

It's not this level, but hearing Roger Staubach talk about the Army-Navy game that Jackie Kennedy asked them to play after JFK was shot is another odd circumstance. The post 9/11 Mets/Yankees WS. But in terms of the death of a player? I think you're right.

Someone please explain, there must be a reason, why are NBA players bundled up like they're about to go sledding in a snow storm in pre game warm ups? Just trying to get a sweat on maybe?

the Blazer telecast said Gabriel will start. Nothing like a low-key game to ease him into the flow...

I do care if Kobe did what he was accused of doing. I care a lot. But I also care that people can be better. Learn, grow, expand and be self aware. Second chances are good if they're used appropriately and I don't see any evidence that he didn't knock his second chance out of the park. That's why I feel emotion about his passing. And I'm ok with it. I feel it. Now go beat the fucking Lakers.

is terry fucking clueless? holy shit, read the moment jackass. this is not setting the kid up well at all

I normally watch the national broadcast, but no way I'm doing that this game.

I don't even know why I'm watching this. I just love the Trail Blazers that much I guess.

No reason to freak out because the Media is all over the Lakers. A Legend died so it's pretty normal that they talk about kobe and his Team the whole time
