I remember with Jordan how if you held him under 30, you did a good job defensively. 26, 27 points was considered a bad game for him. Crazy, right?

At his peak, that was 10 points under his average.

Think about this for a second, the year Wilt averaged 50 ppg, if you held him to 30, he'd need to go out and score 70 the next night, just to maintain his scoring average. How insane is that?

He scored 26+ points in every game that season, and was only held under 30 twice. He had 45 games of 50 or more points, 15 games of 60 or more points, and had one game with 78 points and 43 rebounds.

Barnes and Turner are both on the hook for 3 more years, giving up Bambi kinda sucks but I’m over worrying about when he’s gonna turnover the ball.

This one I'd probably do. I still don't know whether Turner at $17M is worse than Barnes at $23M, but I'd still probably do this trade just to try something new. Barnes MIGHT actually be able to play as a 4th option...while it's clear that Turner can only play as a rec league sub.

With how subpar the offense has been this year, can you imagine Portland's record if they weren't played defense?
Imagine if Portland was dead last defensively this year, like they were last year at this time.
