I will explain. For just few days of my membership in this forum, i found out that Nurkic is stupid, bad, his (and main ) whole nation is probably lazy so is Nurkic etc etc...what ever i read by this guy from Germany is negative. Tonight Nurk is stupid because of two turnowers or something at start of the game. Just glad that Nurk played good and that guy watch it. Only positive for me in this defeat if happens.

The problem with Nurk is Disappointment.

I'm kind of OK with him. He's good defender and he can help us in offence sometimes, but man. He came here to be The Beast and it seems he is playing it save. His game is so hard to watch for me, cos I expected him to break the fuckin glass, go up and dunk the ball with authority. He supposed to be a supertank inside. Instead I have to watch all this layups like he was 6 feet tall and couldn't jump high enough to dunk it. I know it was discussed here before and this way he can stay healthy for longer and it makes sense.
So with him it is just this - disappointment. We expected him to give this team his heart, but (surprise, surprise) he thinks more about himself:)
So he's OK and he is good, but it's really hard to have a big man that don't dunk the ball and shoot circus shots instead.
And I guess we all know that you need to see some big dunks sometimes to bring the spark, energy, momentum.

Recurring health issues. Sadly, as he gets older, unless he loses some of that weight, it's not likely to get better.
It sucks that he put all that weight back on after the Nate era.he lost a lot of the weight that last lock out season..I worry about him...with the Blazers training staff they should be able to get him on track you'd think....Wheels isn't that old

Defeat unfortunatelly. Deserved, credit to Raptors.

Must fight in next two difficult games. Go Blazers.

Just one fact only for German member ( do not like write this in defeats but have to now):

Nurk stats: 20/07/3/2 with only one TO. For 25 minutes of play. 8/11 shots

Wasn't world class but neither:

Wasn't stupid
Wasn't lazy
Wasn't the reason why Blazers played bad

Have a nice day,

Great offensive games from our big 3.

Dame - 32 pts @ 61.1%, 3 reb, 10 ast, 1 blk
CJ - 21 pts @ 56.3%, 2 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk
Nurk - 20 pts @ 72.7%, 7 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl

Slim pickings from the rest.

A very rare poor game (by his standards) from Ed Davis - 6 pts @ 66.7% , 3 reb, 1 blk
Pat was OK, and should have seen more court time - 6 pts @ 40%, 2 reb, 2 ast
MyLe did alright in his junk time minutes - 6 pts @ 66.7%, 2 reb, 1 stl

Everyone, even our big three, was poor defensively. When you give up 130 points (37 in the first quarter), no-one can claim to have played good D.

I fully respect your opinion and fully understand and agree for most of all. I hope that Nurk will improve asap and give this team hart, fight, and get into beast mode. And if ever, ever do it, i hope to be for this team. The way you say this is fully apreciateted by me personally. I hope that he will try hard to change your opinion. I send you warmest regards from Bosnia, with full respect. This is how to write -i cant stand this German's way only.

yeah....I didn't get past the first sentence....I shouldn't respond like that....I'm just going to blame alcohol and an irish temperament....

You don't have to bring "alcohol" and "irish" in the same sentence. It's like: "I'm going to blame irish and irish for that";)

Tonight was the PERFECT example of what the problem with this team really is. Found this stat on reddit;

Dame, CJ, and Nurk scored over 70 of the teams 105 points, had 15 of the 20 assists, half of the steals, and a third of the rebounds and blocks. They also only turned the ball over four times.

The talent drop off after those three is steep. Not only is there a lack of talent, but there’s a lack of versatility as well. We have too many players with repetitive skill sets.

Fucking get to work Neil god dammit.

DeRozan will have his way with us. Just like Jimmy Butler. Neither Dame or CJ have the physique to D up a full sized shooting guard. It's a real problem and one of the reasons I am for trading CJ if we can get back fair value and a better fit.
Evan Turner does. :dunno:

He did not build a team,he collected and vastly overpaid a collection of misfits that he calls assets. Just beating a dead horse nowadays.

I don't blame Olshey for Turners disappearing act...I blame Turner....he got a green light in Portland and took a nap

The idea that you come to this place for the paycheck and then take a nap, is probably fixed in a lot of free agents minds. That hurts our chances of winning a championship more than anything else. Even just getting them to come to Portland in the first place. Luckily we have guys like Damian and Ed who play their guts out. But I think Turner frankly has a lot of self doubts about whether he's worth the money. That might be affecting his play. When he was hungry he played with his balls to the wall. Now he's got that big house and is set for life. Basketball isn't live or die anymore. Can't say I blame him.

...when apart from whatever voodoo Brad Stevens does.

His numbers are almost identical. He’s actually shooting better now than in Boston. He just doesn’t handle the ball as much, but that’s not surprising considering our backcourt, and that’s not on him.

I haven't read the thread. Did anyone notice how great Pat C was at playing the point in garbage time?

I saw that, and I don't have his +/- handy for the BOS lineups, but he was utilized (to my admittedly poor recollection) a lot different in BOS. It seemed a lot more "if we need you, shoot...if not, know your role", especially in his 6MOTY-caliber 2016 season (that got him paaaaaid)
