It was a seeding winNot a "great" win, but certainly respectable. Nothing that happened tonight convinces me this is a play-off team - but that seems to be the short-term goal and we are just along for the ride.
You know I gotta say it; what if Stotts had not had that excuse of five fouls to keep CJ out? Would he have felt obligated to keep him in over the hotter-shooting Trent?Game was over as soon as CJ picked up his 5th foul. Well done GTR!!!

That link compares him to some guys who weren't really that clutch. I googled most clutch NBA player and found a ranking of Melo as #43.https://www.nba.com/magic/ranking-clutch-history-14-20180208Here is one link comparing him to a few players. But if you just google "Melo most clutch NBA history" you will get all the articles that present all of the numbers. As you see, Melo is best in regular season. Mike is best in playoffs.

Great call by coach Stotts to go with Trent instead of CJ to finish off the game. Trent earned those minutes.
great win Blazers!!!
He could've gone back to CJ though as some in here said he was going to do.Great call by Stotts? He only took out CJ because he couldn't guard a chair and kept fouling everyone. When he got to 5 with 7+ minutes left, he basically had no choice. If CJ isn't hacking everyone in site, Trent wouldn't have seen the floor in that crucial stretch.
He could've gone back to CJ though as some in here said he was going to do.
I actually do like the sound of Trent Auto. That definitely should be his nickname.Gary Trent Auto(matic)
I googled "most clutch player in NBA history" and got a ranking : "Based on a combination of factors that include clutch field-goal percentage, postseason metrics and career achievements, these players were at the front of the clutch gene line." Melo not in top 25. https://www.stadiumtalk.com/s/most-clutch-nba-players-5e9a098a94e94175Melo is most clutch player in the history of the NBA. Glad he's on our side.
