I know still 18 games left but looking at the standings, if the Clippers dont move up to 2nd and we stay at 6th, we're really fucked
Actually, I think a matchup with the Clippers is our best chance to advance. You’d rather play Lakers?

We won't be staying at 6. I think we finish close to .500 at the end of the year. That would put us at the bottom end of the play-in.
We aren’t going 5-13 to end the season lol. Not with the way Nurk is starting to play. We have much better chance of going 13-5. No matter how many times you say it, this isn’t the worst Blazers team ever. It’s actually Top 10 best.

Then we have had some shitty teams apparently.

just a month ago we were at a all time high. Right there for that 5th seed and Dame playing like the MVP. After that Dallas blowout it’s just been downhill. You just knew the hard part of our schedule would bring us back to reality. It sucks we picked up some great personnel in the offseason, and I know this team has greater potential than they have been able to show.

We won't finish 13-5. Everything would have to go right from here out and the last few games would have to have the Jazz and Phx locked in and resting starters to win those. If we get to play the Lakers without Lebron and AD we might win that game. We have two against the Spurs, we probably win won of those. We have three against Memphis gotta win all of those...likely will win maybe 2 out of 3 of those. We should beat the Hornets. We will likely lose to the Clippers. We have two against DEN without Murray. We will win at least 1 probably. We will probably lose to the Nets, Pacers, and Celtics. Maybe beat the Hawks. Beat the Cavs and the Rockets.

If it goes as said above that's 10-18 maybe 11-7

Certainly not on a message board but i would for sure. I learned many years ago not to bet on a massage board when a dude named BendBlazer22 decided to make a bet he didn't want to pay when he lost.

Now if you would like to make a friendly wager? Maybe I'll buy you a drink at the next meet and greet? I would jump at the chance. Not only that i think i would win but i would gladly buy ya one anyway!
Now be prepared. I no longer drink alcohol but i do drink Non Alcohol drinks and they can be just as spendy. Heck even coffee these days can be a $5 drink.

I meant outside of the forum.

I would never bet against the Blazers. Always up for a friendly wager though for a drink at the next meet and greet for some other bet pertaining to the game.

lol...yeah, right. adding Bazemore, Tolliver, and Hezonja were "good on paper"....toilet paper
Bazemore was an upgrade from Turner. Toliver and Mario sucked but they weren't really supposed to play

during last game, announcers said that blazers have 6th best offense in the nba, which is good for a regular season, but when the playoffs come, teams will blitz dame and focus on stoping cj mccollum too and therefore dare everyone else to beat them and weve seen how that works, unfortunately... obviously, terry stotts needs to change the offense and nurk might be the key to that as hes the guy who can change teams offense with his passing from both low and high post

its beyond me why terry stotts insists on iso offense, when this team can do more and like nurk said, they dont understand their potential

as a coach, you should get your team to play the way that suits them, cause thats the only way to get best out of them and it looks to me that terry stotts limits his own players

= "upgrade"

and the funny thing is, those numbers above are inflated from what he did in Sacramento:

he was a substantial downgrade from Turner and I didn't think that was possible

I don't want to...but sometimes it's such easy money, it can't be helped. It eases the pain of the loss. Scott Foster has hastened my retirement date to be sure.

We’ll be closer to 13 wins than 5 wins which was my point.

They had more passes in one possession than we do in like 6 or 7.

If we lose these next two games the noise is gonna get real loud around Stotts. If what Quick said is true, and management is already eyeing a replacement, I don’t know how much more they’re gonna take from Stotts. The safe bet is he makes it until the end of the season, but I don’t know how safe that bet actually is if Stotts keeps losing.

What will the difference be between now and two games? You think he's going to get fired mid-season or something?

I guess "noise" is probably the right word.

Ya, you’re right, never seen a coach fired during the season.

So here's the main question - will this team turn things around and make a deep playoff run with Stotts?

Sub question- is this roster good enough to turn things around this late with a new coach?

1. no.

2. The roster is good enough, but it can’t just be any coach. And since I know nothing about any of Stotts assistants, I’m gonna say TBD. But firing Stotts isn’t just about this year. It’s about accountability. When you go into a season with the primary objective being defense, and you’re still in the bottom half of the league after 80% of the season is completed, someone’s head has to roll.

So you think if we lose the next two he'll be fired next week?

My questions was: What will be different?
