how have we looked so bad in some of these losses, yet so good in some of these wins. Needs better consistency in the playoffs and look out!

I am going to admit something. I am extremely bi-polar with this team. Last 3 games I was seriously depressed. I'm too emotionally invested in this team! I wish I could just be chill
Dude I feel you. I quit talking to my friends and just sat at the bar alone. Now I love everyone.

I bolded the answer.

That, and stagnant offense.

Afflalo helps our bench even when he isn't scoring because the threat he poses opens the floor for the rest of the players. And the great part is that he WILL score on top of the spacing he brings. How long have we been begging for a guy that could consistently give us 10+ points off the bench within the flow of the offense? Well we got him and the icing on the cake is that he is a good defender. And all this in the first 2 games where he isn't even comfortable yet. Optimistic isn't a strong enough word for me at this point. Ecstatic is more like it.

Man the guy on ESPN said "they call it clutch city here" I feel insulted...

By the way it seems like our struggles are based around our scoring droughts. I am hopeful that AA will help even this out and Stotts will figure out a better rotation as the team and AA get acclimated

That's sacreligious if I've ever heard it.

Who was that guy that had a jon barry site of all the non-factual info he'd spew? That was fantastic.

if the season ended Today I would want the 4 seed which is where we are at. Avoid Memphis and San antonio until the WCF.

ID love to play the rockets first again with HCA and then the winner of GSW/OKC because I bet neither of those teams will win it defensively and could easily get caught off guard by a solid defensive team.

Finally we pray that it's not Memphis in the WCF.

Good win tonight.

Friday is the big game though.
Need to beat OKC, take the season series vs them and gain two games on them with a win.
That's the game where we need everyone clicking.

A nice long winning streak would be great

Hopefully this is a signature win. Bench was huge. This win could be even bigger when you consider Aldridge and Damien had poor games. Bring on OKC!

Still shaking my head at how big Nic was last night. Flying around everywhere on both ends. Getting rebounds and steals, making shots, and not overpassing. Wes had the numbers and some good late defense, but Nic was my MVP from last night.

We are VERY tough to beat if he plays like that consistently... sigh (you just KNOW that he won't be consistent).

He used to play like that once every 8 games or so, now it's once every 40. Yes, he will return to his old ways.

I hate Batum so much. On the previous forums, I used to bash him endlessly... Especially when a banned member on these forums made threads on the previous forums saying how good she thought Batum was.
I never saw the 33pt game or however many it was vs the wolves... But....... I really think last night was Batum's best game as a pro ever. At least from what I can remember.
Yes he had two turnovers that I shook my head at ... yes on the fastbreak he should have dunked it, instead of tried to ally-ooop to Wesley. But... I really believe Batum played his best game as a NBA pro last night.

He played a great game, I've been giving him a hard time, maybe I should keep dissing him badly so he can make me look bad? whatever works!

You're setting yourself up for disappointment with unrealistic expectations.

Hope and expectation are not necessarily the same. Have you never expected the worst and simultaneously hoped for the best?

Dammit - the quoting function didn't work. That was suppose to be in response to a post saying something along the lines of "We need Nic to do this every night." That's just not realistic, and it's those sorts of standards that I see applied to Nic, but not the rest of our players. And those unrealistic expectations are what cause people so much frustration with Nic.
Yeah, if he could shoot 75% from the floor every night, chip in 6-10 assists, and play strong defense throughout that'd be great! In fact, it'd be so great that he'd win MVP!

Gotcha.

Yeah, I love Batum when he plays like that....but not sold on his transformation yet. He's so up and down. Has been his entire career. We'll see.
Also his write doesn't hurt? I thought he had a ligament tear?

Nic was quite consistent last season.

I'll never understand this train of thought. To be the best you have to BEAT the best. I want the TOUGHEST road to the championship. IMO it's the only way...

THIS!!!!

Do we want to be remembered as the team that got lucky or the one that truly earned the title? You pave your way into greatness by not fearing the tough hurdles that are put before you.

I guess we need to take what you say with a grain of salt....
