I think JDC realized how it came across to me. I explained how it did. Things were fine. All I until KJ butted in to mock me and talk shit based on his own misinterpretations. Common theme. And then I defend myself from the same guy who keeps starting shit with me, and then you get random people blaming me for it.

It's as if random people keep trying to fight you at school, and you get in trouble with the office over it because "Well, you get in a lot of fights".

Just maybe, not everyone is out to get you.
Maybe these 'random people' represent the general concensus of the forum. They are inicent bistandards who are trying to give honest feedback of where the 'discussion' went off the rails.

When more than 2-3 people indicate that you're taking it too far, maybe a little self-introspection is in order and its time to tone it down....

Hey, I dislike Bones' conversational style as much as anyone. But this is simply untrue. He (and many others) have discussed - ad nauseum - all the various reasons why Stotts sucks. You obviously don't agree - but that's on you, because the opinion is WELL backed up.

Dame and Nurk beasted the other game while the rest of the team was garbage and we still won. I want to see this team running like a well oil machine come the playoffs. If we lose than I we can still say we did our best. But to watch one of our best players get into four trouble while another is stuck at the border... FUCK THAT. I am sick of looking for the silver linings in every season. I want to play up to our potential and overcome adversity. DAMN THE TORPEDOS! FULL SPEED AHEAD!

The Blazers fight and scrapped, the bench helped mount a big comeback, and losing a nail biter on the road is nothing to hang your head over.

But there are thing that can be improved which is what you hope happens.

CJ's late turnover splitting a double team
Cj's late '3' that barely drew iron
Two late missed FT's
Dame/CJ in for the last possession on D
Not blitzing and/or switching Kawhi

Great effort... but that are a number of opportunities for improvement in the last minute or so.

Think it's funny that you wanna hang a loss on the only guy who actually kept us in the game.

Officiating seemed to favor the Raptors in this game - but it did not seem to me like it was blatant - they made some mistakes and it seems like they made a couple more on the Blazers this game - I still think that this was a very encouraging game for the Blazers - because if they had ET, EK or no ML - they win this game, imho - no matter what the officiating was.

I do think they took Nurk out of the game, which was a huge favor to TOR. But I wasn't expecting to win this game anyway, so I'm pretty pleased to have lost on a buzzer beater when we had a couple things already stacked against us. Woulda been nice to win if Terry OR the refs did a slightly better job, but the end result matched my expectation so no skin off my nose.

We pretty much have every season for several years as many websites had us finishing out of the playoffs this year and yet here we are, 4th in the tough west.

I'm not sure if this is in response to my post about expecting to lose this game. But, my expectations are my own - I don't read/watch national or local sports coverage. My expectations are based purely on what I see when I watch our team play.

box plus/minus: 129th

I would think that in order to be considered elite, a player should at least rank in the top-20 in at least one broader metric. CJ can't even crack the top-100 in any but PER, and that's the one stat on the list that is cumulative and impacted by minutes played and possessions used.

I get it - CJ "isn't efficient" and makes a lot of money. And so people will argue away things like FG% in favor of TS%, or some other metric, to fit their opinion. But, the fact of the matter is, CJ ranks #8 for all SGs in FG%. Yeah yeah, TS% is better - whatever. It's better because it fits your opinion. CJ doesn't draw fouls like Harden and other bitchmade players who would rather play HORSE than basketball. But when it comes to actually shooting the ball (FG%) CJ is a pretty damned good SG.

He's #6 in PPG for SGs and shoots a better percentage than two guys above him

CJ is a flawed player - most players are. But CJ is not even close to our biggest problem.

And it certainly begins to make the label of elite when applied to CJ questionable. Apparently, Zach Levine is much more elite than CJ as he averages 2.4 more points on 0.1 more shot; Devin Booker averages 3 more points on 0.8 more shots; and both of those guys crush CJ in assist rate

it also raises the question if other players are more "elite" offensively than CJ. But he simply isn't very efficient, not in shooting or scoring. And considering how much he has the ball in his hands, how much shot clock he burns, and how many possessions he uses, his play-making ability, or rather the lack of, detracts from the overall context of his offensive game. Like I said, if somebody wanted to say he was good on offense, I wouldn't push back against it. I don't really agree, but it's not worth debating at this point in time. But CJ being called "elite" just doesn't withstand any scrutiny IMO,

Dude. I can see with my own eyes that CJ is an elite offensive player. My guess is that most b-ball guys see this too.
