Looks like he played pretty well tonight in his 15 mins.
Did he get 15? I missed most of the first quarter. Didn't know if he played.

It seems to be more than that right now. Yes Harden is out but they still have solid players that can impact a game. They just don't seem to be meshing well right now?I really thought this game would be tougher with all the time off they had off to prepare plus their desperation after a slow start.
If the playoffs started today The Clippers, Houston, Lakers, OKC and Minny are all out.

Get this. Sacramento would be in.....
Get another jobSo they are 2-0 when i can't watch the game.
He will improve with minutes. I have a theory on player development. Many players don't really start to see the game slow down until around 1000 mins. Then they learn a bunch between 1000 and 2000 mins. He is sitting at just under 500 so far for his career. If he gets another few hundred which at this pace would be 20-30 games then we will start to see him enter the next level. Just a theory but it seems to hold pretty true.I actually do think it's smart of Terry not just to throw him out there for a major amount of time. But when Harkless comes back, I don't think he should lose the majority of it either.
Get another job
Not sure i would be running with that line at this point of the season but to each his own.People thought Vlade Divac was clueless. That's stupid. He isn't Jerry West but he knows talent. Give him enough drat picks and he'll put a team together for you. You don't survive in the NBA without even some basic knowledge of how a team runs.

Watching Carmelo tonight makes me wonder why anyone would think that he should have been a FA priority last summer. He's a horrible defender, below average rebounder and his scoring is average at best. All he offers anymore is a washed up name. That would have been a waste of money on a guy who would have only brought us down.

Late to the party...great game by the good guys!
Man the Outsiders though.....
yourshurf had a great game tonight.
So at what point do we take Houston down a couple tiers..they were great last year, but are they even a playoff team now?
With Paul and Harden, yeah. They miss the guys they lost though, specifically the wing defenders, and Melo is washed. Thankfully they don’t realistically have enough to land Butler, because that would be a game changer.
Reading the Rocket's forums, they are obsessed with getting Butler.
Then send him to the G League..."Bro", I never said he was active. That's the problem - he should've been. Wade Baldwin, who I don't recall playing a single minute, was active instead. What benefit is that to the team? Getting a bunch of DNP-CD's.
Maybe try and have a conversation before saying "at least know what you're talking about", which seemingly questions someone else's intelligence. You might want to get the full scope of the issue before responding in such a manner. I also said - not taking away from the win - so I can tell your a real winner at life and a joy to be around.
I don't know, maybe a thing called development? Get used to *actual* NBA players, speed, and executing the offense (and defense) in live game settings. As the gentleman below points out, HE NEEDS THE EXPERIENCE! Practices are in no way, shape, or form, more educational than actually playing... "Everyone has a plan until you get punched in the mouth". Playing is getting punched in the mouth. There is a reason you play players to develop them. Oh, and some players are "game" players and some are "practice" players - and you need to play them for experience particularly when they are coming straight out of HS. At worst, it wouldn't hurt to get him some burn.
Yeah, I don't doubt that he isn't ready to play but the best way to get him ready is to get him some live action. But as you said, he has limited experience. So he needs to get real, live experience somehow.
I also said Collins should've been playing from game 1 last year. You don't draft these dudes then just let them waste away on the bench. Let him get his shit kicked in a couple times and use it as a learning experience.
Holy shit, I just looked at the contract Chris Paul signed this summer.

$160 million for four years and he's 33-years old. The Point God looked pretty fucking human tonight. Lillard blew by him with ease a number of times.
We're in year 2 of a 7-year collective bargaining agreement. So, there is no hope of an amnesty clause. I sure the fuck would't want to be the team that's on the hook for paying him $41 million at the age of 36 and$44 million when he's 37. Hell, I wouldn't want to be the team that's paying him $35.6 million this year. He makes $7.6 million more than Lillard and isn't nearly the player Dame is.

Im sure youve been around organized ball enough to know this so its not a direct response to you. Then send him to the G League...

I'm not recommending it, I'm saying it in reference to what he's saying...Im sure youve been around organized ball enough to know this so its not a direct response to you.
While we may not see it, Simons and Trent are getting to play against Dame and CJ everyday. They’re getting nba facilities to work out in with NBA trainers, a lot of growth can happen for both of them even while “sitting on the bench” during the games that count. Of course in game experience is paramount for developement, but if its Id rather have Stotts hold them off the court if he feels like they arent ready.
