CJ needs to find other ways to score points. When you struggle, stop shooting Jump shots. Drive to the basket. Get easy baskets ... nobody told him that?

Ha that was the one time he got blocked. How tall is CP3? .....yet he is by far their best defender. CJ is the master of the floater and the change of speeds. Length is seldom the issue for CJ...he was just not on tonight. He was averaging 26 against them in the previous two games. Green was not the difference maker in his 11 minutes.

IMO the hype of the game effected both Dame and CJ. Too much lime light this week. They came out tight and never got going.
 
Losing sucks. But what did we learn?

We can play with the Rockets even when our stars don't play their best. Aminu and Harkless can reak havoc and Nurk can have a field day in the paint.

This was a good test for us. I like our chances in the playoffs.
 
Sometimes a streak like that can weigh a team down somewhat. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome. Loved it and every minute, but now it's time to take a deep breath, and start a new winning streak. Go Blazers!!

It’s CP3. He gives that POS way too much respect. I haven’t looked up the stats but it seems like he always struggles in that match up with CP3.

He gets away with more BS than most. Dame's shot was off tonight. Most were open. He blew past Paul and Others on their team. It was Paul's shooting from three, and the rest that got them this victory. They didn't miss their open threes.

Eh. Just like Dame/CJ won't always play this poorly, Harkless and Aminu won't always play this well. In a 7 game series I wouldn't expect them to all click at the same time more than once or twice if we're really lucky. But, I'll take Dame playing well over Aminu playing well any day of the week - if that had happened tonight we win this one handily. Unfortunately Dame has a tough time against Cp3.
 
That Game is a good example why CJ will never be a all Star in the West, for sure he can score, but when his shot isn't falling, he gives the Team absolutely nothing, he can't drive to the Basket to draw fouls, he can't pass, he can't rebound, he is a missmatch on defense for 95% for the opponents. And to be honest, for his productivity he is overpaid, in Todays nba you have to do more than just beeing a streaky shooter
 
I’m not worried about Dame and CJ. The play of our role players is a much more important development. Nurkic is an X factor against the top two teams in the conference. They don’t have anyone that can really match up with his size.

This probably isn’t our year but looking at this longer term, I think we’ll have a window to win a championship. I really believe that.

Collins will just get better. If Olshey can find a wing in the draft or free agency, we’re set.
 
Next game adjustment against Houston, let ET bring the ball and dump it to Nurk. Once he get double team, Dame and CJ can run off the screen for easy baskets.
 
The better team lost to an individual having an outstanding game. Fair play, won’t happen like that in a 7 game series. This game has given me a lot more confidence we can beat anyone in a 7 game series now.
 
Yeah but we still have not answered the question that we had before the game....how do we defend Harden? And how do we stay away from having our center matched up with their guards 25 feet from the basket?

Maybe before a 7 game series they can come up with a game plan. Someone has to have a better formula. Although Harden has destroyed pretty much every team this year.
