What i'm worried is lillard looks still helpless when we play against Small ball Teams that can Switch Everything, he didn't know what to do after houston switched all the time
His passes were great and spot on. He handled the pressure fine. He just didn't hit open looks tonight. Let's not make this into something it wasn't.

It seems like it's been this season too. I don't recall him being this bad since we drafted him. This season has been REALLY bad for him around the rim.

Maybe because the jury is out on the Blazers, all you have to do is stop Dame/CJ and outscore the rest.

For me it looked that he was helpless after Switches and didn't know what to do, look what Harden does after a Switch and look what Dame does, man that's a big difference and we could see why Harden is the frontrunner in MVP

So you are saying he has not played well against other small ball teams? First I have heard about that.

Feel like we lost the game when Harden went out with 3 minutes left in the 3rd, Portland up 83-76, and Dame turned it over at midcourt leading to a Houston three. Huge change in momentum while Harden was out.
The game wasn't lost there but I definitely agree that was a huge turning point. In fact, those missed fast break opportunities in the 1st Q really loomed large at the end as well.

Hey I respect your opinion, but to me, he never looked helpless.

To be fair houston has great wing Defenders with Ariza, Tucker, mbah a moute, they can switch Everything, but for some reason Dame didn't know what to, he attacked a lot, but wasn't really good on that

The more I think about it, this game was very encouraging. Both Dame and CJ were completely off and the score was so close. Go Blazers!

Really Really bad games from Dame and CJ. In the end Nobody in the USA cares if he plays Dame Time against the suns or lakers, he needs to do this against a really good Team..

You're right, Dame has never had a good game against a really good team. Go watch the game against the Warriors where he scored 50 points. He scored 39 against the Spurs last year.

Just this year:
36 and 13 against OKC
44 and 8 versus GS
32 and 10 @ Toronto
33, 10, and 8 @ Utah

Should I continue or will you please STFU?

Yeah but you specifically said he "continues to be helpless against small ball teams." I doubt very much that is true.

Yeah, Lillard has sucked his whole career against small ball teams!!!

Get a fucking clue!

Meh. Variance game. I don't expect Houston to shoot 53% from three every game, and I expect Lillard and McCollum to be be better. That being said, it seems as if Lillard's tear came to a halt a few games ago, and CJ is a below average scorer unfortunately. I don't know why CJ fell off so badly this year. Pretty big dip in TS and PER from last year (58.5% to 54.7! and 19.9 PER to 17.4!) 54.7% TS is below league average, by the way. He needs to step it up, because he doesn't bring anything else to the table.

Our role players continue to feast on the easy looks other teams are giving them. Harkless has been sooooo nice. I was a bit disappointed that CJ and Dame continued shooting as much as they did when our front court was dominating. But I honestly felt like both players were getting pretty good looks, they just weren't falling. Oh well! On to the next!

I can say whatever i want, and i Really don't care what you think. For me he looks helpless when a small Ball Team with good individually Defenders Switch on him. How many Times Aminu or Harkless has switched on Harden tonight? Almost every Time, look what he did and look what Dame did. Lillard is my favourite Player, but that's one part of his Game he definetly needs to improve to be a MVP, because good teams like houston play small Ball with good defenders and these are the Games he needs to kill the opponent

I just got back from the game. Traffic was terrible.

Here’s my thoughts - loosing sucks. But you know what? I’m not afraid of the Rockets. Not very often are CJ and Dame going to play that poorly, and not very often is Harden going to play that well. We had an off game, and they had a good game, and they barely beat us.

Look out Houston. When you play the Blazers in the playoffs. You’re gonna have your hands full.

Nah, you're just making shit up. He had a bad game. It's that simple.

We worked hard to get this far. The team was fortunate to depend upon Moe and Chief.
Only lost by four but could have had points from first half up close miss opportunities.>200w3HJYX9E4Big.gif
