Hope Damian is okay. He's hobbling out there a little

Is that four crappy games in a row for Batum now?

[checks stats - yup:

He's shot 15-42, 4-20 from 3 (exactly one three a game - the reason he's passing them up) and is averaging 10.25 pts, 6rbs, 3.5 ass., 2.5 to, 0.5 stls, 0.75 blks.

Bleh.]

@WojYahooNBA - Damian Lillard has a heart attack after bumping knees with Greg Monroe in the 4th quarter of the Blazers/Pistons game tonight.

It's interesting, I've mentioned he is our D coordinator 2 to 3 times during the season as out defense continues to suck balls, but NO ONE said anything. I was beginning to think he was some kind of sacred cow coach who could not be criticized, nice to see a few others getting pissed off

At least he wouldn't need microfracture

Honestly I had no idea who was responsible for our defensive schemes.

Basically Batum is looking like the same inconsistent player from before, except now he does it in batches instead of alternating every game.

Nick, I don't know how NBA teams and specifically the Blazers work the responsibility aspect for something like coaching and establishing a defensive scheme. Is it mostly Stotts? mostly Caleb? and obviously the players bear responsibility. I'm just trying to figure out on whose head this mostly falls

You tend to be inconsistent when you have to rely on your jumper

Meh

To be completely honest, I fault the players more than the coaches ... but even then I fault their overall lack of depth and overall shittiness more than any particular player. There just aren't enough people on this team that should legitimately call themselves NBA players, and those that are left are probably holding themselves back knowing how much energy they're going to need to keep up offensively.

nobody on that team, outside of Buck Williams, was a great defender.

Jerome Kersey was even better than Buck at defense, and Duckworth was no slouch either. Clyde was an excellent defender when he wanted to be.
