But Oden only got three shots because he turned it over before shooting it. If he didn't turn the ball over, he would've gotten more shots.

He would have had more but would he have had enough? Not at all.

If this is one of Oden's "bad games," he's going to have a monster year.

And, in fact, I think this will prove to be one of his lesser games. Just a weird matchup when your opposing center is 6'6''. Oden didn't handle it so well (Hayes, though, has remarkably quick hands for steals...he even stripped Roy a time or two) but he's not going to face such an odd lineup much.

That's not true. What game are you watching. I remember 2-3 times he was in perfect position and didn't get the ball. They were not even trying to get the ball to him. That's is the problem not the TO's. Sure he would of had a couple more shots if he didn't make those TO's.

He would've had 5 more shots if he hadn't had those turnovers. One of the other TOs was a stupid foul and the other TO was actually Blake's fault.

Oden tried to do too much tonight. He needs to settle down a little more and let the game come to him.

That being said, he had a fantastic game on defense. Pretty sure Oden is going to lead the league in blocks after tonight! :p

Steve Blake missing a free throw in the clutch was comical to say the least.

so Oden currently leads the league in Blocks per game and turn overs per game!

Are you trying to say he would have shot it every time he had it, but turned it over? Even the time when he hadn't even touched the ball when called for a turnover?

Let's try using a little logic. Thanks.

Our D and rebounding was our saving grace tonight. We will need to be more efficient with the ball in our hands though.

Hey man, don't hate, give credit where credit is due.

I'm not hating on Outlaw, I thought he played great. I take issue with the assertion that he was one of only two players who "brought it" as he says. Oden was a game changer on the defensive end of the court, Miller keyed a huge run in the second quarter, LMA looked good in limited minutes because of foul trouble. Joel had a great game off the bench.

This is just King's MO -- build one player up unrealistically and tear others down unnecessarily.

Steve Blake

7pts, 2-6, 2ast, 2to, 1stl

Almost useless. 5 of his 6 shot attempts were 3's and he isn't a good passer. Rudy is much more talented than Blake.

Hated the turnovers and the fact that we were up by 20 in the third and nearly blew it, but I loved how Travis and Martell game out and looked aggressive. Oden chipping in with 12 rebounds and 6 blocks was huge as well. You can just see it in him that he's ready to turn things around this year. I'm very excited with where he's headed.

Now, if we can get Oden the ball a bit more and avoid some dumb turnovers, we should be able to come out strong against the Nuggets.

Very glad we won a sloppy game but I'm pretty disappointed in Nate. Any gameplan that results in 3 shots and 0 foulshots for Greg Oden is unacceptable.

There is no way he would have had 5 more shots. They were double teaming him and he probably would have passed to the open man on some of those plays. Like I said he would have had a couple more shots maybe 3 but that's not the problem. IT IS GETTING THE BALL TO ODEN WHEN HE HAS WORKED HARD GETTING IN GOOD POSITION TO SCORE AND THEY DON'T GET HIM THE BALL! God what are you watching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm done good night.

I did. He turned it over 7 times. It was only in 5 times that he could've shot it. That's why I said 5 shots.

good game boys, good game! Roy's driving wasn't going as planned, wonder if it was the double pressure and grabbing, or just his funk. Looks like he was grabbing his hamstring late in the game....

Steve Blake

Almost useless. 5 of his 6 shot attempts were 3's and he isn't a good passer. Rudy is much more talented than Blake.

I would love to see Rudy take Blake's minutes and have Bayless see more time down the road.

Steve's a decent player, but I don't think he brings much to the team that can't be easily replaced.

Sure, other people contributed in their own ways, but without Outlaw and Webster, we get smoked tonight. Did you watch the game?

So you're still assuming that every time he turned it over (when having the ball) he would have shot it.

No.

Learn the game. Then post.

He got good position once, maybe twice.

You do realize that illegal screens, offensive fouls and fighting for loose balls that go off your finger tips also count as turnovers right?

I counted two possessions where you could legitimately call them botched offensive possessions where Oden was trying to make a scoring move.

You've been on Oden's jock since last year when he failed to be "The Next Shaq" or some other bullshit and I get the feeling we're in for more of the same tepid, boring ass routine this year.

The point is that he got the ball more often than the shot attempts stat suggests.

OK, finally got to see the game. I can't believe I am saying it - but I actually miss the replacement refs.

It's not about how many times he had the ball, it's where he received it. If you pass it to Oden where he has to dribble to get to the hoop, you're not playing to his strength. We didn't run a single pick and roll for him. Inexcusable.

Screw arguing over Oden, we know he'll have better offensive games.

More people should be angry with Nate keeping Blake in.

Sure, other people contributed in their own ways, but without Outlaw and Webster, we get smoked tonight. Did you watch the game?

True, of course, without Outlaw and Webster (since you haven't indicated that you would replace them with someone else), we'd be playing 4 on 5.

Just because they played well tonight doesn't mean that if we'd had Dante, or Bayless picking up some time and changing some positions around we wouldn't have also won.

Yes, both Outlaw and Webster were key contributors to the victory but to say that without them we were/are a lost cause is a bit obtuse.

Gramps...
