It's nice to see Travis using his jumping ability to rebound.

I was thinking the same thing! With his hops, there's no reason (aside from lack of desire) for him not leading the stat sheet in boards every night.

Webster is looking good. He's hustling on D and attacking the rim. Nice to see improvement in his game.

Scola is looking like last year's Oden with all the fouls.

Well, at least the refs are distributing the ghost fouls fairly evenly.

Could somebody please please please explain that substitution to me? Why the hell did McMillan take out Oden and put in Joel when everyone else but Oden was playing like shit?

Turning into a bad night for the Outlaw and Miller detractors. On the downside, Oden's offensive improvement doesn't seem to have carried over from preseason. Thankfully, his offensive struggles don't appear to be affecting his defense and rebounding effort.

WTF do you expect him to do on offense when all his teammates do is give him the ball 20' from the basket?

Anyone have a better link to the game than the justin.tv one? That one is lagging bad.

Maybe because he wants to run Oden with Miller so someone feeds him the ball

Didn't we learn not to question Nate earlier?

This team was running up and down the court with Rudy and Miller in the game.

It helps if your teammates actually pass you the ball in a possition to score.

Did Rebecca just say Houston played through diversity last year?

It's turning into a bad night for Blazer detractors in general! I'm mystified how folks can get so up in arms about Outlaw/Oden criticisms when the current performances and coaching decisions seem to be working out just fine.

Maybe -- just maybe -- this isn't the cakewalk offensive matchup for Oden that it appeared to be? Maybe he -- and his teammates -- are executing exactly what they had planned to?
