Oden/Joel: best defense/rebound combo in the NBA. Is there a better one that I'm not thinking of?
 
Looks to me like with a 20 point lead, the Blazers have the luxury of giving Oden a lot of rest and giving Joel more minutes than he's likely to get most games.
 
I just heard MB and Rice talk about our beloved HCP! excuse me... "THE" HCP.
 
Yikes. I didn't realize Roy was struggling so bad from the floor tonight. I guess that smashes the "I play better with Blake" theory. ;)

Why does Oden need rest? It's the first game of the season. He's what.. 22? Second season of his career. And he needs rest? Play him. That's the only way he'll get better.

Because you have a big lead and a vet off the bench who's contributed to the team over the years who deserves some burn.

I think I was very helpful. I taught you to get something for yourself rather then rely on everyone else to get it done for you.
 
I guess the refs were just saving up Greg's fouls for the 4th.
