NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Dallas Mavericks will look to continuetheir recent success against the lowly New York Knicks when theteams meet Monday.
The Mavericks have won 10 of the last 11 meetings with theKnicks but are just 4-6 in their last 10 games overall.
At 13-8, Dallas is more than halfway to last season's losstotal, when they went 67-15 for the sixth-best record in NBAhistory. Dallas currently sits 4 1/2 games behind San Antonio(17-3) after winning the Southwest Division by nine games lastseason.
The Mavericks also are 4-4 against the Eastern Conference thisseason after going 27-3 vs. the East all of last campaign.
Dallas is coming off a 125-117 victory over Utah on Saturday,powered by Josh Howard's career-high 47 points.
The Knicks were swept in a home-and-home series againstPhiladelphia this past weekend, including an embarrassing 105-77loss at home on Saturday. New York's starting five scored just25 points, while Nate Robinson scored a season-high 25 pointsoff the bench.
The pair of defeats dropped New York into last place in theAtlantic Division and the Knicks are 6-13 for a thirdconsecutive season.
