• Wednesday marks the third regular season game between the Trail Blazers and the Spurs. The two teams will meet again on March 12 in San Antonio.

• The Trail Blazers defeated the Spurs 115-105 in the first matchup of the season on Nov. 2 in Portland and won 109-100 in the second contest on Jan. 17 in San Antonio.

• LaMarcus Aldridge recorded a double-double in the Jan. 17 game against the Spurs, totaling 26 points and 13 rebounds.

• Portland shot 8-for-16 (50.0 percent) from the 3-point line in the second matchup this season against the Spurs.

• Nicolas Batum recorded his third career triple-double against San Antonio on Nov. 2.

• Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews all had 20-plus point games in both matchups against San Antonio this season.

• Portland has gone 5-3 in its last eight games played in San Antonio.

• Spurs guard Patty Mills played his first two NBA seasons with Portland from 2009-11 after being taken 55th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft.

• San Antonio assistant coach Ime Udoka played one season with Portland in 2006-07. Udoka is a Portland native who attended Jefferson High School and Portland State University.

• Nicolas Batum won the 2013 Eurobasket Championship with Spurs guard Tony Parker and forward Boris Diaw on the French National Team.

• Spurs forward Boris Diaw and Portland center Robin Lopez were teammates for part of the 2008-09 season with the Phoenix Suns before Diaw got traded to Charlotte.

Bench is going to get plenty of burn tonight! Look for Nico to bring his offense with LA out. Small ball! Don't want to let Patty Mills get going though, he's been playing amazing ball recently. Will be good to see some bench players get playing time. Victor Claver is back!
