My wife dragged me to the Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper concert at the Ridgefield Amphitheatre last night.

Don't be jealous.
Rod Stewart and the Faces were great with Ronnie Wood on guitar..his first solo recordings are classic rock and roll...when he started his don't you think I'm sexy or tried to be a crooner like Sinatra, he lost it in my book....never followed him after the early stuff...Every Picture Tells a Story is a great recording...I only know Time after Time by Lauper...Miles Davis did a beautiful version of that song

My wife and I went to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant last week and I let her pay the bill and leave the tip

:cool2:

I always do this.
I even loaded more on her when I started going blind.

I do love my pedicures. After I had my first one I was so pissed at how women had been holding out on us, keeping it a secret all these years. Besides, old men and toe nail clipping get more problematic (not to mention entertaining) as we age.........

And I have been sitting to pee since my (then future) mother in law broke me in hard. One night while my wife and I were still dating, I (coming from a male dominated household) left the toilet seat up before I headed for home from their house (an all female household). This caused a very traumatic experience (something, something, something about pissy, ice cold porcelain) for my MIL in the middle of the night when she stumbled into the bathroom in the dark. After that I had my choice of sitting while at her house, or holding it for the rest of the evening. Then, as a newlywed I shared a lot of the household chores, including cleaning the toilets. It is SO much nicer and easier cleaning toilets that have not been pissed all over and then some.
This is no lie, I go to a podiatrist to get my toe nails clipped. He always nips at least one toe, usually one of the big ones, and has to bandage it. Worse yet was when they had to stick a needle in my toe to kill off the edge of an ingrown nail. Worse than that was when they had to stick an even larger needle to suck out the offending fluid, uric acid, causing one of my gout issues.

Oh my! No chance.

Ridgefield? is that an unusual place for a concert?
I have only been there a few times. My brother works there.

Not anymore. There's an Amphitheatre at the Clark County Fairgrounds and now the Illani casino has concerts.

I could walk to the Casino. Crap ton of TV screens. Might not be a bad place to watch a game.

Do they have a sports book there?

My wife pays all the restaurant bills. She let's me pay the tip 'cause she says I can relate to the waitresses better. I don't tip the waiters too well if the hussies are brazen enough to catch my wife's eye.

Rod Stewart? Did he perform "Maggie May"? Takes me back to my second attempt at college.

When I travel for work I call home to talk to my wife and kids every day, along those lines the only time I get ‘depressed’ is when I can’t see them for a week or two.

All 3 of our kids are girls, so I have seen every episode of My Little Pony, Doc McStuffins and a few other kids shows... I also play with them, if that means dolls tha n so be it.

I think Pumpkin Spice Lattes are amazing...
I’m gonna stop this list now...

I tried my first pumpkin spiced latte just last year. It was pretty good. It will never replace mochas but it was good.

Was in Bellevue all week at the Microsoft buildings and I found a starbucks there that was literally a converted bank, it was the biggest, nicest Starbucks I’ve ever seen. They kept me very well caffeinated.
Edit: The starbucks was nice enough I’d consider moving!

I like a good pumpkin spiced latte or a quality mocha as much as the next boy but when I'm playing bridge, I want a cup of tea poured out of my tea pot and into my favorite tea cup. It makes my little finger curl right up in the air.

Now, I better go to the store soon because if I don't have a hot dinner ready on time my wife gets upset.

I've also got some vacuuming to do with my new birthday present a Hoover WindTunnel 3.

Speaking of television shows.... Absolutely Fabulous is one of my all time favorite shows. Although I wouldn't say it's that odd to watch that if your male, but a large number of the show's fan base are women about my mother's age. I've seen probably every episode and went to see the movie when it came out. Even though it bombed over here. For sheer laughs, Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone are two of the funniest characters ever shown on TV. A lot of friends I grew up with had aging ex-hippy mothers who were into fashion magazines, smoked too much, and all wished they'd had a one night stands with Mick Jagger. So I found that world very funny.

Mick Jagger? Have they seen his face?

I liked the show, but that's because Julia Sawahla was a babe back in the day.

Yeah. She was gorgeus. Too bad they had to make her look frumpy because of the character she was playing.

I only use Yardley's lavender soap.

Lavender soap works for NLS ( nervous leg syndrome) leg cramps by simply placing the bar under the muscles.
