Unrestricted free agents that caught my eye as possible bargain gets (in order of appearance, not preference):
Jae Crowder
Jonas Jerebko
Luigi Datome
Aminu
Quincy Miller
Papanikoloau!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CJ Watson
Donald Sloan
Ekpe Udoh (if his body's not broken down totally)
Kosta Koufos
Nate Wolters
Jason Smith
Mbah a Moute (always a good defender, never learned to score)
Brandan Wright
Jeremy Evans (always seems to kill us, jumps like a mofo)
Kevin Seraphin (never seemed to fulfill his potential)

Obviously Crowder, Aminu, Brandon Wright, CJ Watson and Koufos are the pick of the bunch, but I'm talking potential bargains here.

I guy I am likling who is not on that list is Rodney Stuckey, had a very solid yr for Indy and is a UFA. Can play backup PG but at almost 6'5" can play with either Lillard or CJ. Maybe it was an aberration but he shot 39% from 3 pt land last yr, by far his best ever, he's also a guy who can get to the rim. Anyway he fits needs and probably won't break the bank - I'm guessin 3-5 mil per yr

He would be a great addition. I would love to see him play with CJ off the bench. I am however, intrigued by this kid Frazier.

Never cared for Stuckey. Is he really 6'5"? Seems smaller. And don't we have CJ doing exactly what he does, only better?

I'd rather have a pure point who really is 6'5" and can defend, like Alvin Williams back when or like Spencer Dinwiddie in Detroit. Donald Sloan might be a candidate, or Delon Wright or George Lucas de Paula in the draft.

I really don't see a role for Stuckey here at all.

Yeah, Stuckey's just not a PG, and would duplicate CJ more than fit well alongside him, IMO.

CJ is a guy who can do a bit of everything.. So we'd rather have a one dimensional player next to him instead of someone who can do it all also?

Bargain Bench:
PG - Stuckey
SG - McCollum
SF - Covington (Trade)
PF - Meyers
C - B.Wright

Id rather have a good defensive PG (preferably with length) that can distribute the ball well. D Wright out of Utah would be good.

I like the idea of trading Nic for Tyreke and trading picks for Covington and starting him.. Then giving Tyreke and CJ 30 minutes each off the bench..

Tyreke would be your backup PG while playing SF, CJ could handle the ball too, that'd allow you to put Lillard off the ball more and mix and match lineups

Stuckey shot 39%? Wow. Yeah I'd be interested in him if we can't bring back Afflalo but he's not my first choice as an MLE target. If one of Batum, Wes, Dame, CJ miss a game all of the sudden we have a huge hole for a scoring guard off the bench. Pretty damn unlikely all four of them are healthy for the bulk of 82 games.

Yeah, I have been mentioning him for a week or two now, not a good outside shooter but can play 3 positions and attacks the basket relentlessly and is a willing kickout passer

NO to Tyreke Evans. Ballhog and a sulker. Plus not much of a shooter, which dooms him in Stotts's system.

Evans had 7 assists a game last year....

he played a lot of PG because Jrue Holiday was out like half the season
He still had a higher FG% and more assists then Dame so he's not really a ballhog... And he can play 3 positions which is valuable off the bench especially if someone gets injured. with Leonard+CJ+Whoever our PG is off the bench we have enough shooting. Having Tyreke would give us a top 5 NBA bench

if we traded Nic for him he could also start at SF

let me add this, for the value/money and what we would have to give up (probably Nic) I'd prefer trying to sign Stuckey for 3-5 mil per

If we got Tyreke I'd rather find a cheap floorspacing SF that would stay but only play 18-20 min a game (Singler, Covington, Dunleavey) that you would bring in CJ, Tyreke, or your backup PG in for a few minutes in based on how the game is flowing.

If we got Tyreke then we'd want a defensive floor spacing PG. (Stuckey and Tyreke play the same way). Watson is my first choice because then you'd have three 40% 3pt shooters (CJM, CJW, and Meyers) off the bench with Tyreke and CJ as the creators

he is not a PG in any sense and is undersized, Reke can play 3 positions, is 6'6 inches and can play PG fairly well

Reke certainly seems like a good fit on paper to play with CJ and Dame . But I would worry why N.O would give up on him so soon after clearing cap space to get him in the first place. If Monty was still there I could see him wanting Nic, but he's not.

Big fan of Watson. I'd love to get him here.

They have an undersized PG, SG, and SF. they could trade him because they want more length while keeping the same traits Evans has and putting more shooting around Davis.
