Guns Make People Safe

But I have never heard of pain killer pills stopping someone that is breaking into a house to rape the wife and daughters. But a gun has.

Statistically, someone is probably breaking into the house to get the pain killer pills, not the wife and daughter.

So you are saying that owning a car doesn't make you more likely to get in a car accident?

Simply owning the car, no, it does not.

Now, do you race with the car? Do you speed illegally? Do you disobey traffic laws and signals? Do you abuse the purpose of a car in a manner for which it was not designed?

Those are the questions that determine if you are more likely to be in a car accident.

Been driving since I was 16. I've been in exactly one accident; just me involved, because I sped into a corner on a freeway onramp.

Simply having my car didn't determine that I would get into an accident. Speeding and not obeying traffic laws was what determined my spin-out.

If you keep the car locked in your car safe, it's completely harmless. Always store the gasoline separately from the car.

Let's give bigfoot a gun while we're at it. I don't wanna see his carcass strung up somewhere.

He deserves only to be seen through 240P cameras from the 1990s.

If bigfoot really exists someone would have run over one by now.

Believe it or not, some people get in accidents! Maybe they hit black ice. Or their axle locks up. Or they get a flat tire. Or a tree falls on their hood. Or their gas tank explodes. Or their brakes fail.

When you drive a car, you accept that risk.

I agree with your first statement. If you just own a car, and keep it in your car safe, that does not make you more likely to get into an accident.

If you drive the car, though, you are more likely to get into an accident.

If you don't believe me, I will rear-end you (don't get too excited) next time I see you stopped at a traffic light. It doesn't matter how carefully you drive if I drive like a maniac.

Umm, no. We should give everyone a gun so they CAN steal from them.
Would everyone with a gun steal? I own guns and i dont steal. Never commited an armed robbery. Never shot up a school. Hell, never even brandished a weapon. Crazy.

When you live in america people own guns. You accept that risk. Or you can leave.

You are young, you still have time. Don't stress so much about it. The right day will come.

There you go.

Attempting to demonize a tool instead of the actions of the person handling it is outrageous and asinine.

Two days ago, I watched a video from a cartel in Mexico who had a half-dead guy on a bloody floor. The guy was missing his face, which had been peeled off with a box cutter, and missing his hands and feet because they had been chopped off with an axe. He was then being beheaded with the box cutter. While still alive.

And yet....we don't have background checks on axes and box cutters. But here I saw horrifying evidence that, when abused, they can be utterly terrifying.

We need to start holding PEOPLE accountable in this country, and stop blaming inanimate objects.

Not saying opportunity hasnt been there. I just happen to have super powers to ignore my guns when they repeatedly tell me to do stupid illegal shit.

Ill say this much. If everyone had a gun, and i did want to steal. Id certainly think twice about getting into a fire fight over an inanimate object.

"An armed society is a polite society"

No, there are many criminals who never get caught. And they are all free to purchase as many guns as they want.
Yet they mostly chose to steal guns illegally or buy illegal guns with the serial numbers scratched off. Why dont criminals go to the store and buy legally? Oh. Cause it can be traced back to them.

We should get rid of gun registration.

Agreed.

By the way, have you decided on an AR-15 yet?

Or, if they have a felony record, they'll be denied.

We should get rid of gun registration.

Agreed. It's pointless, as it doesn't catch criminals, nor does it prevent crime.

But try telling that to California.

We should get rid of gun registration.

And serial numbers on guns.

And there should be big baskets of loaded guns everywhere, so that no matter where you are, there would be a gun within arms reach. That way the bad guys would always be outnumbered.
