Draymond is an outstanding defensive player, one of the best I’ve seen. Now, his best days are maybe behind him, not sure, but he is an elite defender.

They're 21-10, I think they'll be fine.
Honest question: How many current coaches have won three separate playoff series without having home court advantage? Stotts did it in 2014 vs Rockets, 2016 vs Clippers, and 2019 vs Nuggets.

How did Stotts try to get them to lose? You mean, the series that Dame and LMA won, that Blake and Paul got injured, and Dame and CJ with Enes carried us? Those three series? Stotts tried to get us to lose those, Dame and company saved us.

Come on Strenuus. You're a moderator. Let's articulate and be specific and not just trash the man who has anchored our team for 7 years including 6 playoff appearances, 4 playoff series wins, and a trip to the WCF despite several injuries. This year, despite massive injuries to our front court, he has us in the 8th spot. The Neil/Stotts/CJ/Dame stability has been a success in my book. They've given us a team that competes and will have a chance to win a championship in a small market over the next 4 years. In my opinion.By coaching. It's a universal thing every game. I apologize, I should have been more specific.

Stotts has been in Portland for a long time. Whats his overall playoff record?
Stotts will go down as the Blazers' GOAT Coach when all is said and done.I believe he has the third highest playoff winning percentage in franchise history behind Adelman and Dunleavy, if we're looking to compare him. That's despite going up against one of the most dominate dynasties 3 different times.
Stotts has one of the best back courts in the league, a center who is "better than Nurk", and an "MVP level" Melo. You think that equates to a 14-17 record?Come on Strenuus. You're a moderator. KingspeedWho are you quoting in your Nurk and Melo takes?
Our overall forward play has been well below league average all season and our bench is one of the worst in the NBA. Nothing wrong with the Dame and CJ take though.
He will never, ever surpass Jack Ramsey without a championship.Stotts will go down as the Blazers' GOAT Coach when all is said and done.
Exactly. Stotts will win a championship in Portland and will be considered the GOAT coach. Dame has already stated that it will happen in their 11th in year so get pumped for 2023. There will be streets named after both of them.He will never, ever surpass Jack Ramsey without a championship.
Sure you do.Ok but Kerr has 8, and played his role well... you dont just luck into 8 championships... Robert Horry didnt just suck his way into rings either.
Come on, the comparison had nothing to do with that.1 ring.....8 rings....yeah, that is essentially the same.![]()
Are you serious? Is this post serious?
I'm assuming you think Olshey is an idiot as well because he doesn't use his eyes to watch games?
Stotts got totally out-coached against the NOP in that series, no question about it. I have to give him some credit if his 3rd tier team (by your definition) gets to the WCF's. It's hard to win best of seven-series by dumb luck. What measurable outcome could a Stotts coached team have where you would give him credit?
As great as that shot was by Dame, it was tied, the series was 3-1, they won 4-1. I have my issues with Stotts but the narrative that they win because of Dame and in spite of Stotts, and lose only because of Stotts just seems like a bunch of absolutes, where absolutes wont always hold course.

Interesting. When the Warriors play the Blazers, GS does not think they will outcoach the Blazers. Per a source. They do feel there are other teams in which they have an advantage.
Superior team or not, the Blazers are something like 1-16 vs GS / Kerr, a great playoff coach would have figured out how to pull out a few of those. Doesnt mean great coaches dont get swept here or there, but thats pretty extreme...

Kerr is proven he can have a ton of success with a roster of 3-4 all-stars and he deserves a ton of credit for that. How many series would you say he has won where his team had less talent?
One thing I have NEVER seen Kerr do is make an actual game plan that will leave Dame WIDE FREAKING OPEN time after time after time. Stotts actually did that on Curry. One of the most mind blowing things ever and no one including the media, players or fans understood why you would ever even consider something like that.
20-36. A .357 winning percentage. A eye-gauging 3-24 in series where they have been closed out. That is winning game a miniscule 11% of the time. Honestly, is there any coach in history with 20+ games in closeout series to have that inept of a record? Knew it was bad.....didn't realize it was THAT bad.
Again. Be very very careful here.Would love to see you rankings for the following players 1-8:
Dame, CJ, Aminu, Harkless (feel free to substitute any Blazers in you'd like) vs Steph, Klay, Green, Iggy.
You gonna watch the GS vs Houston game last night and honestly say Green is "Overrated"? Wow?Yes, he's easily better. Draymond's overrated.
Did not look at all like his best days were behind him last night?Draymond is an outstanding defensive player, one of the best I’ve seen. Now, his best days are maybe behind him, not sure, but he is an elite defender.
Like the old song--not as good as he once was, but as good once as he ever was.Did not look at all like his best days were behind him last night?
