Seriously. Of course he's not perfect but oif anyone can watch that game and come away blaming Stotts they are fucking idiotic.
Explain to me why he keeps his job if we get swept this series. His defensive schemes are shit, his inability to teach how to stop a double/triple team coming at his best players (hes had a year after the pelicans swept us to figure it out) and how everyone needs to shoot 3s. Its bullshit if he keeps his job after we lose next game.

If anyone cant see how mediocre he is as a coach, theyre a fucking idiot.

He took a team missing their 2nd best player to the WCF despite having 60% of the roster that teams are happy to give up wide open shots to.

If anyone wants to wager right now that he'll get fired this summer, I'll gladly accept your money.

Do you think he'll get fired this summer?
Nope. We made it too far.

Which sucks. Getting swept in the 1st round might've been better for our future. That's what's sad.

Pretty amazing to think a coach could take a team built by a moronic front office to the WCF, isn't it?
Dame. CJ. Hood. Kanter. Curry.

Lots of talent there.

My question:

Why can teams take our best player out of this series while we let their best player do whatever the fuck he wants?

I hear people say Dame's game is easy to take him out, shouldn't that same philosophy work at least somewhat on Curry?

Hahaha... hate when a team makes it too far in the playoffs.
Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I said. Obviously I choose making the WCF over the 1st round. But in terms of our future, to take our next step we need major upgrades at the wing spots, and we need an upgrade at coach. Making the WCF makes those things less likely.

Lots of offensive talent. Unfortunately Curry, Kanter, and Hood are gone, wouldn't you agree?
2 of them are gone. But I'm talking about people giving Stotts too much credit for us making the WCF.

The difference between Dame and Curry has to do with both the player and coaching. Curry is the best at moving after giving up the ball. When GSW runs pick and roll, Curry will give up the ball, but he is the best in the league in moving and relocating to the open spot. They are also great at setting screens for him off the relocates to give him open looks. That's the where the coaching comes in.

Dame on the other hand, gets trapped, makes the pass and doesn't move. He just stands and watches the other 4 guys and will rarely get the ball back.

Who do you think is coming back for the MLE or less? Hood maybe? Hard for me to see any of them returning.

Stotts isn't the reason Portland got to the WCF and he's not the reason they lost, I think that's clear to most objective people. It seems very clear to me that the roster being flawed is by far the biggest issue, but clearly others see it differently.

I think we'll clear up the Full MLE for Hood.

And Stotts may not be the reason they lost, but he's not good enough to win a championship with.

You do realize I wasnt talking about the players that makes them moronic, yes?

I thought that was clear. They are morons for keeping stotts longer than 3 years.

Cant believe I had to spell out the obvious.

I think it's fairly simple:

Draymond Green and Iggy vs Moe and Aminu. The difference is gigantic. Curry can get trapped and rely on his forwards to make plays for themselves or others. Dame is passing to forwards who pump fake wide-open threes, can't finish in the lane, and are below average passers.

Thats a coaching moment. Kerr demanded that Curry develop that trait.

No need to get upset. I thought you said we had a moronic front office. Obviously that moronic front office put the roster together.

Stotts will be back next year, so brace yourself to be angry for another season. Out of curiosity, what was the last Blazer coach you thought was high quality?

But they are too stupid to fix the real problem - coaching.

Im not upset. Im right. Theres a difference.

Your opinion is right for you, I support that.

Let me get this straight: You think the front office has put together a championship roster, but Stotts is holding them back?

Why doesn't Stotts teach Dame to do this then? Or hold him accountable for standing around? If the goal is a championship we can't play this way.

You mean those same teammates that built Dame a big lead in the last two games?
