lol so all those claiming more people would get the broadcast are in shambles.

Not only do DirecTV or Dish customers remain screwed, but now it's not available on Hulu/Youtube either.

What a disaster.

How does McGowan still have a job? And yes, this IS a problem created by the team.
So who the hell CAN watch the games now? Just Comcast, again??

It's on Spectrum and has been for years, that doesn't do much for people in Portland I know but it does help out some in the rest of the state.

Why do the TNT broadcasts and other national broadcasts of the Blazers from the Moda look better than the Comcast Sports NW broadcasts?

I just got a new TV so I'm still trying to figure out the overall quality of the Root Sports broadcasts.

@THE HCP have any upgrades or improvements been made to Blazer broadcast this year for those of us who can see the games?

Spectrum has a fairly low distribution even in rural OR.

Ffffuuuuucccckkk mcgowan!!!!!

im fuming now after reading up on this!!!

Can we start a petition?

Names of people who will no longer attend games or spend a penny on the Blazers until they make it viewable for most people?

If people will sign it, i will create it and i will digitally send it to many many many Blazers fans in hopes of getting a few thousand signatures at minimum.

I seriously cant believe this. Comcast is extremely limited except in larger metro areas.

What’s going on? I read that and don’t understand it. I have DirecTV and am able to see the games. Other DirecTV customers can’t?

this isn't a viable option without TNT. fubo + TNT via sling at the cheapest is ~110/month. i wish the team would stop peddling this over and over again as some sort of olive branch for cord cutters.
Oh I just shared a link from the Oregonian, not the team. I didn’t read the article, just the title. Is this not good news?

I thought people were all pissed because it wasn’t available to stream on this Fubo thing?

Are you being obtuse on purpose? Cuz you were one of the ones singing roses about how great this new deal is to allow for more people able to watch. And that is categorically false.

Fewer people are able to get access to the Blazer games than before according to the article @santeesioux posted.

And yes, this IS a problem created by the team.
I was informed that once the deal is signed, it’s up to the carrier to determine HOW the broadcasts are distributed. Team really has no input on the how. I’m sure it’s upsetting (Trust me I know, my family can now finally see the games for the first time in 10+ years) but the ball is in the court of ROOT.

It's naiive to think the Blazers can completely wash their hands of this. um HELLO. They were the ones who signed the deal and took the $ in the first place knowing full well that the pen wasn't put to paper on the other deals with service providers.

First of all, don’t come sideways at me. I didn’t do this to you. Secondly, before dish just dumped Root or Root just dumped Dish, more people WERE going to be able to see the games and that’s a straight fact. As far as singing roses, I don’t know what that even means. To take it one step further, I said it was a great deal because MY FAMILY COULD FINALLY WATCH THE GAMES. Get your facts straight bro.

I believe they signed a deal with Comcast YEARS ago being told Comcast was going to come to a deal with DirecTV……. Guess what never happened homie? That’s right Comcast never made a deal with DirecTV and guess who hasn’t been able to watch the games for YEARS? It wasn’t the team that was keeping that deal from happening. It might be the easiest way for you to aim your anger and frustration, but the team has no say. Time to email Root.

You must not be reading me correctly. I JUST told you that once the deal is signed…..the rights of distribution is now in control of ROOT. Do you not believe me?

If I'm reading that article correctly, your family won't be able to watch your broadcast on DirecTV come regular season.

the team chose root. Root has limited contracts.
The team needs to own their part in this.

So let me make sure I’m hearing this correctly, people are upset because a business chose the best deal for them to make money? Is that what were complaining about?

We're upset because it's easier and much cheaper to watch the Blazers from Indonesia than it is from NE Portland. And the team chose to take the $ instead of confirming the distribution was in place .... again.

It’s a mess everywhere. Shit Nuggets and Avalanche fans haven’t been able to watch their teams in Denver for YEARS now.

I remember when the Comcast fiasco started. Paul Allen owned the Blazers and the Rose Garden and a majority share in Comcast but they still decided they didn't have the power to help the viewers watch the games.
Silly. Just Silly.

Well that makes it okay.
i just don't get the team's mentality here. you'd think they'd strive to come up with a solution instead of propagating the problem.

but that kind of thinking requires motivation other than just the dollars staring them in the face.

with all these new techies starting to own teams, you'd think they'd go away from this old model. sadly it appears to just be talk.
