Notice How to watch root sports without cable

I'm going to play wait and see. I might switch to the Direct tv app or Fubo. Really don't want to switch from Hulu though. I'm so used it. The layout, saving my shows to my page, etc.

How do these three matchup up? Which is better between direct tv app and Fubo?

no tnt on fubo.

I never assumed that.

I'm assuming Root was clearly the best offer; since that is the one the Blazers signed.

You want the Blazers to consider a different offer but you have no idea what that is?

Maybe it was an insignificantly lower amount and the Blazers are alienating fans, causing backlash for no benefit. I'm skeptical of that.

This kinda feels like the arguments I've been reading about Olshey for the last couple years: "I'm assuming Cody Zeller was the best free agent we could get because that's who we signed."

Like Olshey has a track record of not being able to make a big move/trade for an all-star over 10 years, the Blazers have a record of not being able to provide their games to a large majority of the fan base. If this summer wasn't the 10th miss in a row, I think people would be more likely to give either one of them the benefit of the doubt. Or maybe I'm only speaking for myself.

cheapest option on dtv stream that has RSNs is 85 a month + fees.

i can't justify that when all im watching is the blazers

Contract?

no contract but doesn't change things.
They don't expect their fans to not watch any other TV, so because you're such a small percentage of their potential customer base there are no options for you. If they allowed you to have team pass in market then they wouldn't be able to offer ROOT exclusive in market broadcasting rights. If ROOT offered an individual Blazers stream then they couldn't sell TV providers on the idea that ROOT is a big piece of the package that those companies can sell in this market. Sorry, it's a pirate's life for you.

with the way the Blazers are looking so far maybe its a blessing I can't watch and perhaps I will not bother for a while - let them prove to me they are a solid team before I mess around and change my streaming to get ROOT. I know its preseason but so far it appears a disaster

im not understanding this and cant find info on it.
Are they implying att/dtv are blacking out the local areas? Meaning that those within a certain range wont get the game, regardless of having dtv with root sports?

Also blacking out areas when games are sold out, is complete bs.

So the games are blacked out?

The tweet you guys are talking about literally has nothing to do with us. It's about them picking up at&t sports rocky mountain for another media market all together. Notice it talking about the Jazz and Golden Knights.

thanks. I thought maybe it was “those are the options” because our game would be blocked out and replaced with one of those two.

Hmm I noticed on Spectrum the guide said the Kraken game was on but it's playing a college football rerun instead so I checked Twitter and a lot of Spectrun users are saying the same thing, so I checked Root's websites and it said the same thing about the Blazers, no access to them like the Kraken, so I'm assuming we're all screwed out of Blazer games with Spectrum. I guess it's sailing time for me too.

@THE HCP can correct me on this but as of right now the only providers that are carrying the ROOT Sports package that gets you the Kraken and Blazers are Comcast, Directv, Directv Stream (formerly at&t tv) and fuboTV. If anyone knows of more please make it known but that's my understanding Comcast, both types of Directv and fubo. To be clear that's a ton of the market being covered.

Is there any team in the league that does their own streaming? Yes it would be cool if the Blazers were first but I'm guessing the $$ upfront is pretty large to undertake something like that. Add in that I doubt Jody wants anything to do with spending money to make money at this point, it seems like she's going to sell as soon as possible, so it would make sense that she took the biggest offer she could and give a middle finger to any fan that might get screwed over this.

I'd assume whoever has the local contract, in the Blazers example root, has the local streaming rights.
