Come on man…. He didn’t need to do that hit piece on the way out of town. That’s a new transgression. The game of Dame is hurting the Blazers, when he supposedly loves them vs the Blazers are lying to Dame and not doing right by him, despite supposedly loving him, is tiresome to me. It is possible to love someone/something and still be hurt by them and not do everything in your power to set them up in the best situation possible. I tend to believe we've seen that play out on both sides in this case. The people insistent on making Dame or Cronin out to be the bad guy is weird to me, they both share responsibility in this not working and how it played out, along with a few others.
Regardless, IF the Blazers front office/coaches did break the rules, that is the fault of the Blazers and nobody else. Doesn't matter if other people do it. Doesn't matter how the league finds out about it. The people responsible are the people to blame for any consequences.
Using an honest statement to embarrass a team that embarasses itself. Portland was asking for it. It wasn't just grumpy fans going after Lillard all summer. Team sponsored podcasts and paid broadcasting employees turned into Lillard bullies and said some horrible stuff. But it’s just one more example of trying to hurt the team on his way out the door.
It’s like he doesn’t understand that him hurting the team that we love will also, by proxy, hurt the fans that he supposedly loves.
What terrible things did a team sponsored podcast say?Using an honest statement to embarrass a team that embarasses itself. Portland was asking for it. Highkin ... "we should just bench Lillard until he retires" followed by a cackled laughter. That's not funny to go live with that on YouTube. Lillard worked his ass off in Portland, just so a skinny twerp that only reports what the team tells him to, can threaten to ruin Damian's illustrious career. What terrible things did a team sponsored podcast say?
Honestly asking so I don't accidentally support it.
Lillard bullies? LolUsing an honest statement to embarrass a team that embarasses itself. Portland was asking for it. It wasn't just grumpy fans going after Lillard all summer. Team sponsored podcasts and paid broadcasting employees turned into Lillard bullies and said some horrible stuff.
CP3 + Kuminga + ‘26 unprotected 1st is an okay deal, good deal if you’re in love with Kuminga. The problem is actually extracting any value out of CP3. If the Heat offered Lowry and the ‘26 unprotected Lakers 2nd, I would take it, but I don’t even know if if they’d rather clear Lowry’s salary or gamble on CP3’s health.all day the talk of Bay Area sportstalk was how can the W's get Jrue from Portland? The mid-day consensus was it would take at least CP3's expiring deal (to match dollars), Kuminga and their 2026 1st. The other consensus was the Clippers would probably put together a better package.
Holiday is going to bring back a haul

Haynes can get fucked. Are people ignoring the Haynes article? I can’t find anyone talking about it.
Regardless, it all fits perfectly together. And half the details are Dame quotes. Joe is an asshole and a sociopath.Haynes can get fucked.
You consider Haynes an impartial source?@SlyPokerDog and @BonesJones were both right when they heard that Joe Cronin is a liar and treated Dame disrespectfully. They essentially detailed exactly what Haynes wrote.
I was totally wrong and I apologize. It just seemed so conspiratorial to think that Cronin was being petty. But not only was he being pretty, he was being psychotically childish as well. He essentially pushed Dame to this point then pushed him out. Fuck that.
What I was talking about was Joe saying he was building around Dame. The only one of the items above that is true to that goal was getting Grant. Everything else he has done has been rebuilding. What?
Shaedon is a positive result.
Scoot is a positive result.
Ayton is a positive result.
Thybulle is a positive result.
Grant is a positive result.
The unprotected pick and swaps from Milwaukee are a positive result.
Too early to tell on Murray or Rupert.
No, but it’s not an opinion piece. It’s essentially Dame being Dame explaining about a fucked situation, which in turn, all makes perfect sense. You consider Haynes an impartial source?
how about Jason Quick on Athletic podcast, saying Dame's trade request *hamstringed the organization. Then acting shocked and oblivious during several contradictive statements. Responding to a mole faced reporter asking fake questions why Lillard asked out. "Yaaa, i dunno why Lillard asked out. Cronin signed an armada of 10 rookies, you know. Yes, big surprise."What terrible things did a team sponsored podcast say?

Where's the other side of the story? No, but it’s not an opinion piece. It’s essentially Dame being Dame explaining about a fucked situation, which in turn, all makes perfect sense.
It may not technically be an opinion piece but it's full of opinions and insinuations and unanswered questions. No, but it’s not an opinion piece. It’s essentially Dame being Dame explaining about a fucked situation, which in turn, all makes perfect sense.
Hamstringed just means to block the effectiveness of someone or something.how about Jason Quick on Athletic podcast, saying Dame's trade request *hamstringed the organization. hamstringed... That's referring to a cut so deep it incapacitates someone from using that leg ever again. Harsh words for a legendary iconic Blazer who just got traded for an All-Star point guard Holiday, young player with potential, + 1st round draft pick & swaps.
we're Blazer fans in a chat room. Light it up, say whatever we want. We ain't getting paid for this stuff. To go on air, just to be rude and nasty to a Blazer that poured his heart & soul into this franchise. Actual media people throwing shade is more or less inciting a riot.Hamstringed just means to block the effectiveness of someone or something.
That's exactly what Dame's agent did.
I've only heard the Blazers' side. Does this version of events not just make perfect sense? You've been watching and listening to Dame for 10 years. A decade. And he has always been one way. Then it looks like he's changed and Joe Cronin just shrugs and is like "Dame wants out, guys, I'm surprised" or whatever and so the fans--me included--act like Dame's image was just this choreographed branding thing. But then Dame gets his chance to speak and it all fits together, like I said earlier.Where's the other side of the story?
I think you're missing the point of the article. It may not technically be an opinion piece but it's full of opinions and insinuations and unanswered questions.
Such as, what was Miami's offer to Portland, knowing they were bidding against themselves?
What?

If he's the best two-way guard in the NBA who can fit right in with just about any team, probably a good amount.I'm choosing to forget the past and focus on the future. Dame is gone, what can we get for Jrue?
It's not about what Joe Cronin did, it's the way he did it.Joe Cronin is receiving insults for having Trail Blazers interests as a proprity
