remember this next time you want to tell me what I don't know.....shit I wouldn't comment on something I know nothing about.
I don't think anyone claimed it was illegal. Some are just critical of it from a moral standpoint. It was a politically motivated decision made by a group of companies who, when combined, have an overwhelming grasp on the flow of online content. If the NBA started suspending players for their political ideologies it would be no different. Sure they have every right as a private company to do it, but they are the premier provider of their service, and therefore have a stranglehold on the success of basketball players everywhere. It would be fucked up, just like this move by these tech companies is.Youtube is a private corporation. They have every right to take Alex Jones stuff down, as does Twitter/Facebook/Spotify. There is nothing illegal about Youtube or FB doing this, i'm sure they have something in the terms you agree to when using them about pulling your stuff down for just about any reason.
Blatant racism caught on tape isn't the same as having a differing political ideology. One is worse, but I'm not sure you know the difference .They've gone above players already

yeah....you sure don't know that....nor do I need you to know that...I speak for myself....whether you like it or not...make your own comparisons...I'll make mineBlatant racism caught on tape isn't the same as having a differing political ideology. I have said before, there was a time where Alex didn’t fall into the character and trap of being on a political side but recently he saw he had gain to back trump. At the same time real parts of him shined through like when trump was dropping bombs on Syria. Alex came out and said things against him. There was a time where Alex would talk about very real things that have happened, real conspiracies. These days he goes off the rails but like I said it’s harmless. The sandy hook thing was so long ago and he went back on it and apologized. So yeah I guess if you want to hold him to that, fine but what he is doing isn’t hate speech. That’s dangerous when huge companies like Facebook and YouTube censor him and call it that because it’s simply not and that means they can just call anything hate speech. I’m not for that. If it was actual hate speech I wouldn’t be debating this one but it’s not. It’s just a guy talking about conspiracies and being a right wing source.
Which news programs specifically do you think are equally as bad as him?
barfo
CNN,MSNBC,ABC,NBC,CBS,PBS,LIFETIME,A&E,TNT,TBS,HBO,SHOWTIME,NETFLIX...
And which of those engage in conspiracy theories as ridiculous and harmful as Infowars does?
barfo
...You left out the golf channel.

give me a break.....whew....that's like comparing the National Enquirer to the Wall Street Journal
No, that is not what I want. Maxine Waters is not a news network or an employee of one. I want an example of one of the networks you listed pushing conspiracy theories equivalent to the ones Alex Jones pushes.

Frankly D, I take offense to you calling me a raciest.
There are still magazine stands but youtube is different. youtube, facebook and a couple other platforms are now how people communicate, not just places to get the latest article. They are the virtual water cooler.couldn't disagree more...there's always been controversial material available to those who read it....go to a magazine stand in the town square...or even a book store and you choose what you want to absorb...I've used youtube for years without ever needing to see content I have no use for...I choose not to watch TV period....Alex Jones is on the front page of most internet websites....I don't click on them. As I said...the world has internet censorship to the extreme in China...N Korea...Iran...other countries as well...we have access on the internet to loads of crap...if I had a website, I wouldn't allow cigarette ads either...why? Because I can choose to not advertise them even though smoking is all over the town square. Try to find the Marquis de Sade in a Christian bookstore or even Henry Miller....you won't find them
I don't need to follow Alex Jones or anybody to confront bad ideas...I don't need to search the media to acknowledge bad ideas...I've seen bad shit from guys like him in real life with my own eyes....I choose original thought to confront these things...my time gaining these experiences was long before the internet..I sweep nothing of importance to me under any rug either...you can gather your fuel at this imaginary water cooler if you like...I don't share that method of defining the good from the bad. It all comes down to choices...everyone makes their own. I also do not judge you from feeling whatever need you have to visit these sites you say you visit...choices..Alex Jones is a waste of time in my life as are a long list of shock jocks...he wants you to listen...he doesn't get my attention. It's better for us to concentrate on confronting those ideas instead of always trying to sweep them under the rug.
I don't know about that but I do know that I don't want to be overly exposed to political candidates who are backed by an overbalance of big money.I suppose you are correct.
Do you want these major social platforms deciding who and what you are to be exposed to?
Ouch, now you've got me walking on eggshells.Nothing to thank me for. I like banning people. One of the few joys I get around here.
Wasn't he promoting violence? He said banned on every major platform most of his fans listen on. They essentially took away so much of his viewership all because they don’t agree with his opinion. If you’re okay with that then, wow. I see the same dumb arguments. “He said that one thing about sandy hook”, yes many years ago and backed off it and apologized about a year ago. “He can still post it on his website”. That’s not the point. This is going over some of your heads. This isn’t YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Facebook, and it happened all at once. These platforms were designed for people to speak freely. Not silence somebody for their opinion unless it actually is hate speech then yeah shut it down. However it’s not
They own PBS?Shhh don’t let him know about the 6 corporations that own all media. All billionaires. The same ones that have their dirty hands in politics. It goes over peoples heads man. Let them be. One day hopefully, they will figure it out.
Calling him a rube is a personal attack and ought not to happen. There never were any Russian bots.
It's all been Zuckerberg the whole time.
He's George Soros on Steroids.![]()
CNN,MSNBC,ABC,NBC,CBS,PBS,LIFETIME,A&E,TNT,TBS,HBO,SHOWTIME,NETFLIX...
You think that hasn't happened in my lifetime?Just wait until it happens to someone y’all like, listen to, or read from.
It’s a slippery slope that you all seem to have no problem with. Censoring and removing someone because you disagree with their political views is blatantly a horrible thing to do. Just wait until it happens to someone y’all like, listen to, or read from.
...sorry, but freedom of speech is not a one way street...true, people can say whatever they want but that does not exempt them from people with a different point of view or from people who have permission to censor them...plus, I'm 99% sure that Alex Jones/Info Wars agreed to some sort of "Terms of Service" when he first created an account.
...people can come here and post as they choose but if the Mods deem it necessary, their posts may be edited/deleted or they may also be banned...that's part of the TOS...do you think that's wrong too?
I don't see this as a being politically motivated as much as the company received, and has received, thousands of complaints about Alex jones. If this was politically motivated they would have done it way before now. He violated there Terms and Service agreement and purposely tried to rile up his viewers to essentially turn into a mob and march and in one of his latest videos you could easily argue that he threatened to do violence against Robert Mueller and threatening violence against a federal official is a felony.I don't think anyone claimed it was illegal. Some are just critical of it from a moral standpoint. It was a politically motivated decision made by a group of companies who, when combined, have an overwhelming grasp on the flow of online content. Exactly, this isn't censorship, it's private companies exercising their right to terminate services because Jones didn't comply with their terms. These companies have been "censoring" content, like nudity and violence, long before Info Wars was removed.
