Well we’re 3 games back now but we’re in the Top 6 which we must stay in to guarantee playoffs. Only one game out of Top 3 seed which means contender. We are 4-1 vs the current Top 3.

1. Phoenix 14-6
2. Denver 13-7
3. New Orleans 12-8
4. Memphis 12-8
5. Los Angeles Clippers 12-9
6. Portland 11-9

Tomorrow:
Los Angeles Clippers @ Portland
Golden State (11-10) @ Dallas

Wednesday:
Portland @ Los Angeles Lakers
Memphis @ Minnesota
Toronto @ New Orleans
Houston @ Denver
Chicago @ Phoenix
Clippers @ Utah
Indiana @ Sacramento (10-9)

Or a quick one depending on how the next few games go!
Going downhill fast!

two would be good. They could drop all of those easily esp. if Dame is rusty

Well I felt like asking for 6 was way too much, but expecting 2 wins with 4 as the most likely ceiling.

If they lose all 6 of those, than you can pretty much call it a season. Those are all middle of the road teams (yes even Utah and their bloated win total) that you need to beat a handful of if they want to even make the play in games!

FAMS! I'm actually starting to get worried that my 39/40 win prediction is too high!

Gary Payton will save us...

...when he plays for the first time in 2024

We are seeing just how much Dame means to this team, and why they still aren't a championship level contender, or even a top of the West contender. Yes everyone of the decent to good teams has that 'one' guy but to be great you have to be able to weather the storm when they are out and this roster is not doing that at the moment.

Don't lose hope! Just keep it around .500 ball through 40 games!
One really decent schedule break they get in Feb. They have a 5 game home stand before the All-Star break. One game on the road vs the Kings and then they get 2 more days off before a home game vs Houston.
That's a bunch of rest time before another brutal roady.

Problem is they need to get through December somehow?

Obi? Is that you?

The only key question is who can ya beat in 7 game series? Houston, SAS, probably OKC, maybe SAC and UTA. The rest: nfw.

I really dont know how Portland does anything with the roster. Mistake to sign Nurk, wtf would take a 15m/y backup center that cant make layins??He would have to be packaged with picks or Ant/Shae/expirings/picks.

I dont think a contender can be built around Dame. Simple as that.

Currently tied for 10th. Now the schedule is supposed to get easier at some point, but ironically, those won't be the teams they would play if they make the Playoffs.

We are 5-1 vs 4 of the top six West teams:

2-1 vs Suns
1-0 vs Nuggets
1-0 vs Pelicans
1-0 vs Kings

Well…

would you look at that?

That trash team GSW is now tied with us in the standings.
Does that make us trash as well?

Asking for a friend….

With the worst defense in the NBA, as of now, Portland isn't winning anything. Ball dominant guards that cannot defend...whoda thunk it?

Well the 12 game hot start didn't age well. Blazers are closer to the bottom of the league than contending, it's time to tear it down and rebuild.

It's a valid opinion. Who do you keep? Ant and Shaedon? Or just Shae? Who would want Dame? It would have to be a ~contender with great young talent and/or picks. Not sure what team fits the bill. The Heat?
