'I WAS FOLLOWING MY PRESIDENT'
Texas realtor Jenna Ryan begs Trump for pardon & says she was just ‘following instructions’ after Capitol riot arrest
Did they, in the summer, break into a federal building WITH guns, hit cops with fire extinguishers, flags, their own batons?
Did they, in the summer, bring zip ties for the purpose of taking senators hostage?
Did they, in the summer, fight to overturn an election? No, they fought for human rights in the summer.
Did they, in the summer, just get let in to the federal buildings at the planning of congressmen and blessing of the guy in the white house?
There is no equivalent to the two. When it happened in the summer, that guy in the white house sent in reinforcements immediatetly.. they flashbanged and smoked off and barricaded everything.. because of what? People fighting for human rights. When the insurrection happened right across the street, it took 3 hours before any additional help arrived.
There is no comparison to the orchestrated attempt at overtaking a government, to people fighting for basic human rights and equity. Its shameful its even being compared.
“Watch these evil white people do bad stuff in the 60’s, if you’re not on our side politically you are one of them”
Well thought message.
Flip a coin: heads you’re a force for good in the world.
Tails you’re human trash.
Stealing TVs and burning down people’s small businesses isn’t “fighting for human rights” that is fucking ludicrous. Your double standard is glaring.
Anyone who committed a crime at the capital needs to be held accountable...for the crimes they committed, whether it be theft, trespassing, assault or murder.
Dubious conspiracy theories about Trump instructing or ‘inciting’ his minions to overthrow the American government are unproven at this point. You can absolutely make the case that a few of the rioters had that in mind (guy with zip ties) and should be charged accordingly, but to call this a grand conspiracy being ordered by the sitting president is just stupid and lacks credibility.
Intent with destructive action matters. You could stand on a corner and say fuck you to somebody but if you break down doors and invade their house with deliberate intention to harm those within or guarding the premises, the action illustrates their harmful intentions.so which is it?
Does intent matter or does it not?
Wasn't my remark this morning which I dearly wish to drop, in the same thread? Oops, I see you you meant it another way as this thread is a different thread. I haven't had either my coffee nor my breakfast yet this morning. I see my wife just got up so expect the drink and breakfast part will soon change.i said this most of the summer and was berated and treated like a soft racist by many here. Cant have both sidisms.....
i agree 100%, my confusion and this frustration is i was when i was saying this during the summer many people turned on me and labeled me as a racist supporter.
i said 100% support the protests. I do not support the vandalism and open lawlessness.
I was told it was just a couple of copy blocks downtown and many railed on me here.
im not saying you.
But its been a driving force in my posting behavior/style these days because i feel there has been such a double standard used to irrationally imply and label me and some others, as “ on the wrong side” or a racist supporter.
i tried to converse with a proud boy supporter in hopes to get him to see he is supporting something that isn't right.
I told this to someone else who is a Blm supporter and i was instantly cut off. “Why are you talking to the enemy? You are associating with the enemy, so you support my enemy which makes you an enemy...”
i was floored.
Good conversations without instant judgement and insulting/demeaning slants are sooo hard to come by these days...
@Lanny
Thats in part why i was frustrated the other day, to have been having a good one to have it infiltrated with a borderline racist label.
im not gonna lighten up about being labeled a soft racist.
i tag you only because you brought that back up again this morning in another thread. I thought this might help you understand my position.
We should be able to have discussions about what is right and wrong for all people without being labeled anything from the get go.
A rarity around here..
What's better than blueberry pancakes? Perhaps Swedish pancakes or maybe apple pancakes.i never did either Lanny. I only sought good constructive conversations. Enjoy your breakfast. I just had mine. Blueberry pancakes.

It is annoying as hell. Can't talk about anything in here without you making the conversation about you and your grievances. You don't make this place better.yep and like the post a above yours, many here are clueless to their hypocrisy. BItch about me going on but at the same time continue the goings on by pig piling and making a rebuttal post. Its hilarious.
@theprunetang
I responded to someones quote. Nothing more. you make a post bitching about it. Makes you better??
gtfo with that hypocrisy. Maybe if you made a single effort to see that, my responding to yours and a few other double standards would cease...
BUt instead ill just keep jumping in and making snide responses, continuing the very shit im bitching about....

Whine whine whine. You just don't get it. i was having a conversation that wasnt about myself until someone made it abiut me. Then i defended myself. Now you wont shut up about it.
WaKe the fuck up dude, your posts to me Rent making anything better wither.
Fucking mirror is on the bathroom.
Hi. I’m Calvin Natt and I would like to unequivocally and very very clearly state that I 100% do not respect any position that stands with Trumps side. Thanks for having me.The majority of people are one dimensional thinkers and few see the overall picture. Rather, they would place a label on a person instead of respecting their position. I found that out working as an independent home inspector and in municipal government for years.

1) Everyone here thinks this summers destruction was bad and terrible and perpetrators should be hung by their balls. For the 100th time.may i ask when is it acceptable to discuss the damage/vandalism done during the summer aNd how it impacted/undermined to an extent a just cause, being called a whatabouter or a both sider?
is that discussion allowable without being labeled as a trump riot supporter or what er the fuck else?
When is the want of that conversation not goign to be misconstrued as someone trying to compare the capital riots to this summer?

'WHERE WAS NANCY?'
Graham blames Pelosi for Capitol riot because speaker ‘didn’t provide enough security’ & vows to ‘get to bottom of it’
I just think they are separate conversations, as well as separatemay i ask when is it acceptable to discuss the damage/vandalism done during the summer aNd how it impacted/undermined to an extent a just cause, being called a whatabouter or a both sider?

I'm having trouble writing a response to your questions, I'll admit. But let me try...may i ask when is it acceptable to discuss the damage/vandalism done during the summer aNd how it impacted/undermined to an extent a just cause, being called a whatabouter or a both sider?

More like, align yourself with white supremacists, then you're not a force for good and quite comparable to Jim Crow era politicians.
But you understood that. Also, do you even think those white people in the 1960s were "evil" or "did bad stuff?" That's not on brand for you. Your brand is "It's dumb to call those people racist, nobody cares about skin color. Stop being such ridiculous alarmists. Now let's get back to how Democrats are destroying the world."
