These same people complained that we should have traded Aldridge for anything before we lost him in free agency. Some people just want to be mad at everything.

I mean...... LMA was one of the best bigs in the game. And we weren't at the end of Dame's window. Totally different scenario.

I wish I was privy to that. But I’m sure there’s other teams that hold Simons to a really high regard.

What I'm sure of is that people here greatly over-value the players on the Blazers roster when it comes to trades.

I agree with you Ant/Hart would net a nice player in return. Would that nice player make us better at a significant level? Unlikely in my opinion.

I'm sorry Nate, but before this trade, you were complaining about a lack of trades. Portland make a trade and you're complaining about the trade

and I'm pretty sure I've seen you say that Hart would get traded and the Blazers needed to get something for him instead of letting him walk this summer or overpaying

I'm also sure you have said that Olshey trading 1st round picks for role players like Afflalo, RoCo and Nance was a big win for the team receiving the picks and a loss for the team receiving the role player. So the Blazers trade a role player (on an expiring contract they almost certainly wouldn't re-sign this summer), for a first round pick, and suddenly trading a role player for a first round pick is a win for the team receiving the role player, and a loss for the team receiving the pick.....hard to keep up

and by the way....fuck all the nostalgia for CJ. It's nuts and a hilarious irony coming from all the people bitching about mediocrity.

It's not about making trades for the sake of making trades. Come on man..... do you guys seriously think I'm that fucking stupid?

It's about not wasting Dame's prime. The guy dropped a fucking 30 point trip dub tonight. It's about making moves that fit this window, and I really don't see how this move fits our window unless there's something else coming.

Ainge just traded 3 players, maybe some as good as Hart, plus 3 2nd round picks, for a 1st round pick 4 years from now, but trading Hart for a lotto protected 1st or 4 2nds is awful. Lol. Gimme a break. Cry more

I’m not one of those people. I understand value of our players. Outside of the Grant trade our return for what we have traded away has been in the negative.

Now it looks like we could’ve trade Watford and a future 1st for Poeltl.

Would have brought in a legit big man. While ours got a new contract and has sucked ever since.

There will 100% be more moves between now and next season that Cronin thinks improves the team in the short-term. You won't like them, but that's another story.

Because they're rebuilding, dumbass. They're on a completely different timeline than we are. They traded their Dame.

HUH? How do we pull that trade off with the pick protections? How to we resign Poeltl without going over the tax?
