Derp. Keep crying. It's entertainment. A thing you talk about quitting constantly. Yet here you are.
HUH? How do we pull that trade off with the pick protections? How to we resign Poeltl without going over the tax?
It's not about making trades for the sake of making trades. Come on man..... do you guys seriously think I'm that fucking stupid?
It's about not wasting Dame's prime. The guy dropped a fucking 30 point trip dub tonight. It's about making moves that fit this window, and I really don't see how this move fits our window unless there's something else coming.
Can you do anything other than derelict my balls?
It’s more of a statement about how shitty of a signing Nurkic was. The writing has been on the wall with that guy.
No... certainly not at that price point or contract length.Over pay is right. I was for resigning him only at a fraction of what he got. He's a low end starter who misses a lot of games and probably should be playing at 20-30 pounds lighter. Was any other team even rumored to be after him?
STOMP
Ainge just traded 3 players, maybe some as good as Hart, plus 3 2nd round picks, for a 1st round pick 4 years from now, but trading Hart for a lotto protected 1st or 4 2nds is awful. Lol. Gimme a break. Cry more
yet at the time he signed it I was assured by many posters that it was a reasonable contract...No... certainly not at that price point or contract length.
ok...I get that
I'm just wondering what moves are available out there that fit Dame's window. You have to give to get and I don't see anything on the Blazer roster that would get the kind of player you are thinking of. I'm also wondering what exactly it would prove if no moves like that are made
I mean, so far the all-stars moved have been Kyrie and D'Angelo Russell. Two more small guards and Russell isn't really an all-star
Grant walking would be a disaster. I saw some report that he’s linked to DET again this summer.Ok...... let's zoom out and look at the big picture.
We dealt a borderline All-star guy who was locked up for a while for two expiring guys. We just dumped one for a project and a highly protected pick. The other guy could potentially leave for nothing. We needed the CJ trade to be a home run and it has the possibility to be a real fucking disaster if Grant walks.
I'll continue to say this, with zero inside knowledge: The Grant deal was almost certainly locked up many months ago.If you think there's any reasonable chance you can't re-sign Grant, you deal him by the deadline.
With all the star power coming to the West, a run this year is out of the question, but there's might be a team willing to overpay to keep up with the Joneses.
I liked your post but I'm thinking the same. If there isn't a wink wink solid deal with Jerami, already agreed to then we have to trade him and recoup what we can in the next 12 and 3/4 hours. If you think there's any reasonable chance you can't re-sign Grant, you deal him by the deadline.

It does look really similar to something Olshey would do.
There is still over 12 and a half hours. Let's just see how things shake out and then we can talk about what Joe is doing and has done.It does look really similar to something Olshey would do.
With KD now on the Suns, it only makes sense to keep Grant.Yup.
i think the grant deal is done. just waiting for july to give him his 5th year.
I'm giving Joe time but all signs point towards him sticking with the Dame/Ant back court and nothing could be more reminiscent of Olshey with the Dame/CJ back court. In this case Cronin could just be lying to Dame and hoping he fades into a high priced backup on a young team but regardless if Cronin is dedicated to the Dame/Ant back court he is either as blind as Olshey or extremely disingenuous with our guy Dame.Olshey kind of got us stuck in this mess years ago and we've never been able to dig ourselves out.

To anyone in here that thinks they are being so reasonable and patient and realistic, so therefore they are condescendingly lecturing other fans to be the same way.
What the fuck do you think this is? Why don't you try being realistic about how sports fans act? Is this new to you?
In other words just cut it out. I get being impatient with constantly negative people who are this way every day of the year but at the trade deadline, if you take some time and think about it, emotions are going to run high. Calling people out for it is pretty fucking petty but if it makes you feel superior by all means carry on.
Bro, you got issues. Calling people fuckers and dumbasses because Josh Hart got traded? You take this shit WAY to serious, like it actually impacts your daily life. Lighten up.Can you fuckers do anything other than snark and hyperbole?
