Neil better be on the phone right now to make something happen

I don’t want Love, or rather his contract, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Olshey did, especially if he could swing it without including Collins or Simons.

Sure, trading for Love has several negative points. His injury history, and huge contract come to mind. But look at the bright side.

He will improve the Blazer's defense. Ugh!:smiley-bigsadeyes:

In a way Love would improve Portland’s defense because of his rebounding. And he still grades out as a better defender than Melo. If contracts weren’t a thing it’d be a good basketball fit.

not if Portland is trading Whiteside for Love...and it's kind of difficult coming up with a trade for Love that doesn't include Whiteside

unless of course it's Bazemore + Zach + 1st

Olshey wouldn’t trade Whiteside unless he was sure about Nurks return. Or at least he better not. But trading for someone like Love wouldn’t be just about this season.

Bill Walton - Sam Bowie - Joel Przybilla - Greg Oden - Nurkic - Zach - Skal

there's no reason to believe of all people, Kevin Love would be the one to break the curse

Join a 6’6 and under league.

Portland actually had a 6' and under league several years back that I played in. Although players fudged on their heights it was still a very fun and competitive league as nobody really had a size advantage. The team I played on was actually one of the top teams in the city.

how about just avoiding big men like Love who has missed 35 games a year over the last 3 seasons because of injury, and has had 5 season when he missed at least 22 games
setting aside the cap implications, the 'best' deal for Griffin, from Portland's POV would be to try and keep Zach out of the deal and go for something like Whiteside + Little + Trent + a couple of 1sts

yeah, I know people will squawk about more than one 1st and Little but we're talking about a 30 year old 6 time all-star that made 3rd team all-NBA last season, and who averaged 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

but you’re ok with Blake?

Love raised his voice toward the general manager and Altman threatened to fine him. Sources said they heard Love say, 'Go ahead. I have plenty of money.'

Ignoring the money, the idea of having two bigs that can facilitate makes me cry with happiness. Love and Nurk would really compliment each other well and would own the glass. They’d make our little dummy coach look good.

It just cannot work. We cannot be starting CJ,Melo,Love i m gonna kill myself. But before that i ll become rich playing over total points every opponent.

Imagine this five

Dame
CJ
Iguodala (using Bazemores contract)
Love
Nurkic

We could make a real run.

I still don't believe that Portland can afford Dame, CJ, and Love, and still put a team around them going forward that would be competitive. And if Portland trades Whiteside for Love, their big man issues only get worse
