2016-2107Which of the last 5 seasons was that? I remember Michael Jordon was clutch in the Playoffs, but doesn't mean he would be anymore. Love hasn't played more then 60 games since that season by the way.
I would be fine with Love on a vet minimum deal where he is not in the regular rotation, because he can't be counted on to be healthy.2016-2107
I agree he's probably not the player he used to be but he's a baller for sure that can board, shoot & pass. If you good get him for VM and let him come off the bench?
Was Griffin in a competitive situation this season? They lost in the second round.Much like Blake Griffin, I'm guessing Love would be better in a competitive situation again.
Outskirts of PortlandNo sir, he is from Lake Oswego. Trust me, that is NOT Portland. Good or bad, he can't claim to be from Portland. Ime Udoka, Stoudamire, Terrell Brandon...... they all can, but he can't.
There close enough to be part of Portland.Nobody knows where Lake O is that isn't from Oregon. People in the Metro area usually say they are from Portland whenever they go on vacation because people might know about Portland (some still only know of us because of the Blazers)
Come on though. Love can rep Portland.
I grew up in Gresham with a Portland address and have always repped Portland. Born, raised, went to school in state.
Could Warriors convince Kevin Love to join them on veteran-minimum contract? So far this morning..
“If Kevin love is bought out the warriors will put on the full court press to add him”
“If Kevin love is bought out he will be a top target for the nets”
but he’s not good enough to come here I guess
He's clearly burned out on the Cavs...he's not going to build that kind of trade value with them...too late...he actually quit playing in a game for them..I think he'll end up in Portland no matter how much the media wants him in GS but it'll be on a buyout...his contract is toxic but he's an elite rebounder and passer...his passing is as good as it gets in the NBA...I will say that these Olympics could be huge for the Cavs. If Love plays, and plays well, he could theoretically restore some of his trade value, and maybe save them from having to buy him out to get rid of them.
Their chances are certainly, no better than the Blazers. But Nat'l Media thinks once Klay comes back, all's well. Coming off injury ain't easy. Just ask a younger Nurk. He hasn't been close to the player he was before the big injury. Now 2 years removed, new coaching, commitment to craft? Maybe we see Nurk, the Bosnian Beast return. Fingers crossed.Does anyone else think that the Warriors window is closed and unless they add another superstar player they aren't reopening it?
it would SHOCK me if these Team USA guys had roommates or even if they lived in the Olympic Village.
I think an acquisition of Love and Larry Nance Jr. could be interesting. We would probably want to move to a 1-4 switching defense with Lillard/Powell/Covington/Nance. Love could be a featured option on the second unit and pick n pop partner for Dame in certain situations. CJ/Jones for Love/Nance works, but I think CLE would like cap relief for Love (so they can sign Sexton). Maybe CJ to NY, Jones to CLE, Love/Nance Jr./Quickley/Robinson to Portland.
Lillard/Simons
Powell/Quickley
Covington/Little
Nance/Love
Nurkic/Robinson
In that scenario, if Love is healthy, he starts over Nance.I think an acquisition of Love and Larry Nance Jr. could be interesting. the ONLY way I'd be remotely OK with Love is if he's a vet min addition after a buyout. I don't want to trade anything for him.
He could be like Melo for us next season.
as a backup stretch 5? of course.Would he be better than Melo? And by that I mean, would he be a huge net negative for the team?
I'd expect him to be a net neutral.... So yes, that is a HUGE improvement.Would he be better than Melo? And by that I mean, would he be a huge net negative for the team?
as a backup stretch 5? of course.
im intrigued also by the idea of love in the frontcourt next to Simmons and Roco.If Love was to be a Blazer that would be prolly mean the end of Melo and while the Melo 2 yrs have been better then i thought they would be -- Love if he can play at 80% of his prime would be an upgrade IF used correctly.
Was Griffin in a competitive situation this season? They lost in the second round.
if portland were to lose in the second round, would you consider them competitive?
pretty sure you would.
I heard he played a pick up game once in No Po but it wasn't pretty. You got to understand there is a difference between Portland and Lake Oswego. No sir, he is from Lake Oswego. Trust me, that is NOT Portland. Good or bad, he can't claim to be form Portland. Ime Udoka, Stoudamire, Terrell Brandon...... they all can, but he can't.
