Leonard, Aminu, Swanigan, our lottery protected 2019 pick and a right to swap in 2022 for Love would make a LOT of sense for both teams.

Lillard (36) / McCollum (12) / Baldwin / Simons
McCollum (23) / Curry (25) / Stauskas
Harkless (30) / Trent (18) / Turner
Love (35) / Collins (10) / Harkless (3)
Nurkic (30) / Collins (18) / PapaG

I like it.
I'd rather trade ET than Leonard & Aminu.

Lebum has killed off the poor Cleveland Crowd, so make an offer they can't refuse after trying to get Kawhi Leonard out of SA.

You offer ET to start. They'd probably counter with Aminu and Leonard. I'd take that.
They'd counter with CJ. Come down to Harkless/Aminu/Collins. It'd take a while before they came down to Aminu/Leonard, if they ever did. Though his value is deflated, I have to imagine they'll receive better offers for Love than that.

They're bot getting anyone like CJ or Collins. Who's gonna give them better offers than two picks and a young prospect?

I thought you wanted to give them Aminu/Leonard--where's the young prospect?

Who is the prospect? Swanigan's value must be close to neutral now.

Need to let him dominate another summer league to reinflate his value. ZCo's broken nose was just the beginning...

If we could add Love and Marcus Smart and somehow get rid of Turner and Myers I'd be stoked. I really Love Smart. He's tough as nails

There is really no way to add Smart and he's a guard.

Shocked to see that Smart's measurements at the combine were the same as Simons..... 6'2" with a 6'9 .25 wing.
Surprised because he logged some minutes at SF in the playoffs and was effective.

...trouble is, Simmons would need a lot of HGH to bulk up to Smart's body mass size :sigh:

That reminds me of the draft day joke why Memphis traded Love to Minny...they realized they already had Rudy Gay on the team and couldn't field a Gay Love lineup in the south.

I was saying that too back then. We almost had a Gay Love combo in the NBA.

There’s not a deal that we can provide for him that would make sense unless we include Zach Collins. West is strong but this team with Love could still be top 6 meaning or pick would end up around 20 or so, that’s not a tremendous value. To match salaries we would need to send out a couple of terrible deals that will still run for two more years too, which basically completely nullifies the value of the pick attached. Our only young player of value is Collins.

They are actually better off sending him anywhere else or keeping him rather than taking crap like Turner and Leonard.

If you offer one of the awful players and Collins plus a first round pick, this could make sense for them. Collins basically becomes the focal point of that deal then.

We can send Leonard, Aminu, and Layman/Swanigan. You seriously think that the mulitple first round picks we could send to a rebuilding team is nullified by 2 years, $10M.

If we obtained Love/Korver, we'd have a pretty interesting first team offensive unit. Love and Nurk have pretty good vision and basketball IQ for big men, and Korver could be that dependable 3 point threat for CJ and Dame to kick out to. Our defense and rebounding...well... but the ball "should" move around a lot and we'd see some pretty basketball. Sorry, I'm just scraping for anything

Yes if those picks end up being in the 20s which they are. You are trading Kevin Love, one of the best power forwards in the league that you had acquired for no. 1 overall pick. I would trade him for two low end first round picks alone and here you are also asking me to take on some players I don’t even want. Suns could come and offer them TJ Warren and the Bucks pick and it immediately becomes a better offer. Unless Love’s value is at bottom low the deal you are proposing would be terrible value for Cavs.

Nobody will take Turner and Leonard in any kind of a deal IMO. We are stuck with them until 2020, that’s unless Olshey gives them new deals by that time.

T.J. Warren is trash, and the Bucks pick will be lower than ours. I've suggested adding 3, and I've been told it's too much, and too little, so I think it's about right.

Three picks is desperate as one of them will be 2023 and nobody knows what this team will be like at the time. He’s definitely miles better than Meyers.

Warren isn’t trash, he’s actually a decent scorer. Bucks haven’t picked below us in the last three years, have one great and one good player and a lot of bad players with little cap flexibility.

What about a 3-way deal with Cleveland and Milwaukee, where Collins goes to MIL, Middleton comes back to us in our TPE, and Moe/Aminu go to Cleveland for Love?

Cavs actually get two decent players in the deal (instead of "trash" like Leonard or Turner), save like 8M this year;
MIL saves like 10M to resign Parker, and gets a lotto-prospect center;
We upgrade both forward spots (assuming Middleton can play SF).

Middleton can play anywhere from 2 to 4.

Nobody aside from us gets fair value here. Harkless and Aminu are not needed at Cleveland during rebuild, Collins I think is not enough for Middleton but he’s expiring so maybe at a push but I doubt Milwaukee are looking to get younger.

I think inclusion of Harkless in Love trade makes it more realistic than including Meyers or Turner but he’d need to go to a third team that would send a younger player or a pick to Cleveland.

The only way we get Love though, I think, is if we give them Collins.
