Who the fuck wanted to see Kylo's carbon fiber scar heal up? The Fuck man.

And the way he just switched bad all of the sudden was fucking lame. They built it a little but wasted the moment by a pretty shallow turn.

He still doesn't seem super evil, hard to see him in the role as the primary bad guy.
 
I think the problem is that the original series was the brain child of Lucas. For all his faults it was his story, and it had a story arc. But ep 7 and 8 have been written by different people with (obviously) different ideas about the series. There's no continuity. There's no character growth. It's all over the place. If the original series was a laser, these last two films are a fucking shotgun.

The theories are already in full effect. This theory about Snoke makes a lot of sense.

Doesn't make sense to me. Snoke is dead.

Dude got cut in half with a light saber. Snoke was not projecting himself. We saw how that works with Luke. Luke could not be sliced with a saber. He could not be be killed by a firing squad...not even touched. Snoke got cut in half. It showed him very dead too. When Johnson said we learned all about Snoke we needed to in last jedi, I believe he meant it. We. saw Snoke for what he was. An evil puppeteer using Kylo and the first order to carry out his plans of universal domination. Snoke's character is simple, and uts confusing, and its angering because you want his character to have more of an impact, to be more like Sidious. But, Snoke is a simple character no rounding out neccessary. It sucks, its to easy. Snoke who claimed he could read Kylo's every thought should have seen it coming. He made himself look so powerful throwing Rey around and punishing weakass Hux.

Bit, in order for Kylo's character to become truly powerful he had to take out Snoke, the only and last thing standing in his way to the top...to the dark. Snoke served his purpose. We won't see Snoke again.

As for Luke, we will see him as a force ghost in IX.

I'm not confident Disney will do anything other than scratch the fucking surface. So disappointing, what's the point if Snoke did fake his death, its weak sauce. The Last Jedi was a total waste of fucking time.

He did in novelization. I don't think Snoke is coming back. I don't know that bringing him back does much for the next movie. Unless he did somehow put a fake version of himself in that throne knowing Kylo would have to kill him to become a villian in the whole. One thing it would do to bring back snoke who was supposed to be more powerful than the emperor and vader, is that it would give a common thread for Kylo and Rey to come together and balance the force out by way of redemption of Kylo and thrm kicking Snokes ass together in a finale battle.

But, that won't happen. Snoke is dead. Which Sucks. I wanted him to be Plagueis in the worst way.

The thing is Kylo isn't a fully iniated villian. He threw several shit fits at the end of last jedi. Destroy the falcon whaaa! Shoot every canon at luke whaaa! Neither is Rey a Jedi yet. Sure she lifted some rocks but she still has lots of training to do. Who to train her? There is going to be force ghosts...luke and anakin talking with rey and Kylo. There is going to be probably the biggest space battle star war we have seen. There will be elements that push kylo(death of his mother) and rey (her parentage) to the opposite side.
There is going to be a final battle...but it won't end with one defeating the other. There will be redemption or both will die.

I don't think she's going to BE a Jedi. I think they see the flaws in the Jedi way.

One thing that might salvage 9 is if they do flashbacks to Luke training Rey.

Or do a lot of mental training with Yoda and Luke (tho Yoda is less likely since you know, she has no idea who he is and isn't connected to him and thus shouldn't be able to see him).

I just hope that JJ Abrams fixes this clusterfuck

That's pretty good. Most everyone misinterprets the character Luke Skywalker, including myself. We see him as a guy who succeeded despite the many obstacles he himself faced, but we fail to include the fact that the guy really was the most unconventional and really, in a sense, disrespectful Jedi student.

Still, I overall liked his character in The Last Jedi. It's mainly the other shit I listed that was underwhelming. Let's see that stuff explained.

This actually makes a lot of sense. One thing that is missing with this imo (and it may be because Ep I-III weren't referenced) is the "balance of the force". Balance came up a couple times in the new movie. Anakin/Vader was the prophecy that brought balance to the force. Wasn't this story always about the prophecy and him?

I guess this is the draw for us to come back for Ep IX. Rey and Kylo are the current balance, no?

Also, C3P0 and R2D2 are sorely missed, as far as I'm concerned.
 
When Hux was going to shoot an unconcious Kylo Ren with his blaster, he should have reached for a light saber, at least there would be a fucking cliff hanger for the next movie.

That might be interesting, but I don't think its happening. I don't think he trained her anymore than we saw. I believe his force ghost will visit rey. Whether he helps her finish her training I don't know. Maybe Maz Kanata. Anakins ghost will visit kylo.
 
I bet Luke uploaded a bunch of Jedi training videos to youtube before he died.
