I'll agree with you mags that the government wastes money and it needs to be fixed..just not at the expense of the wage workers of the nation. Our military wastes more money than anybody...if our soldiers were spending money at home instead of buying things from countries they are stationed in, it might help our economy..our military payroll is not finding it's way into our homeland more often than not. My first wish...pull our troops out of Korea and Germany..that's a start

This is a silly argument. You'd rather waste money giving it to a CEO who makes every penny of his salary from denial of care. Instead of pay more in taxes and making sure that every single person in the country is covered. Shame on you.
 
You complain about government spending too much. But you'd rather spend too much for the health care that you have... All the while the CEO of the company that you're paying is fucking you. Why in the hell does he need to make so much money? Has he lowered your health care costs? Has he done anything to make sure that everyone in the nation is covered? Why the hell do you trust a private drug cartel that you have no control over?

You are so funny... why is it that you have the ability to find another policy in the same day? Before Obamacare you could not do this!! Thank your fucking president that you can do that!! Insurance companies used to collude to divvy up the market state-by-state. You used to have only one to three choices. Now you have an Exchange where you can go online and have many choices.

I definitely agree with you on everything you say. I also think, if we send troops to other countries for their protection, they better help pay for that.

I don't trust DC more than any company in the world. At least the companies are just trying to earn profit. DC has multiple agendas to either control their people or countries. And they like making huge profits in process

    And herein lies the flaw in our system. Healthcare should not be for profit. These companies aren't providing you health care anyway. They are skimming off the top of your premium to make their profit. I don't want my health care to be for profit. That's the reason why 47 million people are uninsured. I would wager to say that at least $500 of your premium is wasted on CEO salary. Don't you want your $500 back?

It gives you the opportunity to look at multiple private companies to get a better healthcare deal than the $1,850 you're currently spending. I was just on it for 3 years..it was great duty for a sailor..at that time the best ship in the fleet..wider corridors, more headroom, had it's own bakery. I worked in the Radio com station running a teletype, msg processing, communications Radioman E5. During the war it wasn't charted in any ports for security and we got to go everywhere in the Pacific..for the Navy, it was a great gig.
 
Oh and btw... Kaiser is a single payer healthcare IPO. But here's the great thing. I can tell them to eat a dick and buy a private PPO if I'm not satisfied with their service. If I tell the government fuck you, they will file it in the long lists of dipshits that voted for government run single payer
 
A couple things to take away from today's debate:

Single payer saves money.

Mags would rather give $1850 per month to a private company rather than use the WORKING website that directs him to MORE private companies to potentially save hundreds of dollars per month to find a better deal.

All while railing on the president for giving him the ability to do so...

This thread has also proved that based upon principle you rather spend $500 to $700 more for your health care then to go on a website and look for another private plan. This is simply not smart but since you hate the president so much you won't go to that website to save more money. I guarantee you you'll find a better plan then the $1,850 you're paying a month for what you currently have. That's just asinine. Also, the company that's currently gouging the shit out of you?
