I see Ibaka as the perfect fit without Ezeli playing this season...another guy I like is Dieng from the Wolves but I'm guessing they like him a lot as well

We have a good hungry already developed young core. Now we need some good veterans. Tyson Chandler's our guy! He may not be the rim protecter he once was but he's still smart and can be a defensive anchor.
 
Odd scene in Blazers' locker room: Before leaving, Festus Ezeli approached teammates and exchanged hugs/handshakes. Like he was saying bye.
 
my goodness it would have been nice to have a defensive anchor like Ezeli this season. I wonder what's going to become of him between now and the end of next season.

There is zero chance anyone will take him unless we add a pick. If we offer someone Ezeli and a first round pick for a second round top-55 protected or something, they might.

I think he was already eligible to be traded, but maybe he's getting packagedwith someone like Harkless, who doesn't become eligible until tomorrow (technically tonight at 9pm)

But maybe it's not even a trade. Maybe Portland is applying for the DPE? That deadline is January 15, but it wouldn't require him to be taken off the roster so that's probably not it. Maybe he's going to retire?

Harkless is our most valuable trade chip outside of dame and CJ just because his salary is such a bargain for a player of his profile. If we want an impact center, and don't want to break up the backcourt, were probably gonna have to bite the bullet.

I hope not, but I guess it would depend on who we get back in return. We got him for nothing, so if we can flip him for an impact player that's great. Hopefully we see a trade in the next couple of days or we are all gonna be crazy until the deadline.

The way Terry explained Harkless' scratch in the press conference seemed very blind-sided; he supposedly found out an hour before tip.

(Maybe Neil has given PHI the choice of Patty or Myers or Mo or Crabbe + Festis a choice.)

Nurkic played 8 minutes on Friday.

Nurkic had a 7 games stretch of less than 10 mpg, most where DNP. And then prior to Friday’s game, 5 games around 20 mpg most over 20 mpg. Could be showcasing for a trade?
