Denver, good catch, thanks.

Denver is in love with Jokic
Nurkic played 8 minutes on Friday.

Nurkic had a 7 games stretch of less than 10 mpg, most where DNP. And then prior to Friday’s game, 5 games around 20 mpg most over 20 mpg. Could be showcasing for a trade?
Also, Nurkic sucks ass.

I hope I am wrong but I think Neil likes Okafor more than Noel (which would suck if I am correct).
I don't want or think Okafor is a good fit here but he'd be cheaper than Noel both to acquire and he's only in his second yr of his rookie contract

At this point, I think Philadelphia would be foolish to trade away Noel, unless they got a prime star back. Noel and Embiid seem to co-exist extremely well and as long as you stagger their minutes correctly, you always have one top-notch rim protector on the court.

If I were Philadelphia, I'd build around the front court of Embiid/Noel/Simmons and trade Okafor (if possible), plus use draft picks, for high upside guards.

Here is a clip of Shayes dominating the paint in the 1989 McDonald's Championship.

I'm with a few others here in that if we have traded Harkless then it damn well better be for basically a super star or super star in the making. Because Harkless' hustle, two way player skills and steady improvement have quickly catapulted him to one of my favorite players on the team. And it's been a long time since there has been a trade that has flat out pissed me off but this could be it.

Prove me wrong Neil but I have a bad feeling about this.

It would be a very short list of players that wouldn't piss me off ...

That's just never going to happen. Harkless is a "nice" player, but he's not a transcendent talent.

If your standard for trading players you like is "good role-player for superstar or superstar prospect," then you're basically saying there should never be any trades except for the crappy players, which obviously either can't be traded or won't bring back much.

In that case, I hope you like this team, unaltered, until everyone retires! ;)

What I'm saying there better be more to the package that brings something back that makes it worth trading him.

would philly be interested in Harkless? They'd have to be right? I know they have Simmons but he's more of a point forward. Saric is more of a power forward, same with ilyasova.

FWIW, I agree that it would be preferable to see a trade that is more of the "four quarters for a dollar" variety. But if you want a "superstar" (and I guess that means a top 10 player?) then you're going to have to part with Harkless and CJ/Damian and maybe even a pick.

Not sure what the point is to include Festus in a trade to Philly, unless a second player is coming back, and we need the roster spot. Cap space and LT wise this season, Festus's contract would be a non factor, for both teams.

Contract wise only, Okafor would save $4+ million per season over Moe.

If we're trading Harkless to PHI it better be something like:
Harkless/Festus/CLE's pick for Okafor/Covington (assuming PHI isn't trading Noel)

Quick reporting that Festus scheduled to rejoin the team after the trip. Could all be much ado about nothing. However, that's not as fun to talk about.
I'm not interested in giving up a lot for him, but I'd happily take a flyer on Okafor upside. I can't see them having a ton of interest in harkless, however. Brooklyn needs young talent, harkless could be attractive to them in a Lopez deal, perhaps.

As others have said, Okafor seems like an Olshey / Stotts guy.

He reported that last night. Also, the operative word here is "scheduled." He didn't use that word last night. I'm guessing he's just covering his tracks.

Haha maybe Ezelis knees are feeling better...no surgery? Doubtful?

Ezeli, Harkless, and a first round to Phoenix for Chandler and a side piece

Or

Ezeli, Harkless, and a first round for Noel + a side piece...

Layman and Vohleh were on the bench too...so that's Fetus, Shabazz, Layman, Harkless and Vonleh kept pretty much out of action....trade bait?
