A guy i really want is Mario Hezonja. Don't know what the Magic is doing with him.

The more I am interested in Jahlil Okafor, the more I think he could really be a nice get for us.

I'm not really a fan but he definitely seems like a good buy low candidate, kinda like trob was couple years ago. His offense is kind of intriguing

FWIW, I'd trade Turner for Ricky in an instant. I think it would help both teams. He'd be the perfect backup PG next to CJ for 25-30 mpg. And we can move him to defend starting PGs when they're going off on Dame. Annnd, Thibs apparently loves ET.

Maybe incorporate Dieng in there for pick/others from our end.

"The Hornets are going through a rough stretch right now and there may not be a quick fix available, but the team’s front office generally does well in trades, according to Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer, who argues that there’s “certainly incentive to shake something up on this roster.”"

I have always thought a legit second string PG would be something that would make more of a difference than most. Have dame and cj do the same rotation they are currently in but have the ACTUAL pg out there with cj so that he is playing his natural position.

So when will we know if we've traded for anyone? I'm not exactly sure how the "deadline" works. Are we okay to trade now, or would it have had to have been made before the deadline?

You can start making trades now, but most teams wait until the 11th hour when they have multiple offers to mull over -- deadlines spur action. As far as getting the trade done, as far as I know they just have to have the trade call in before the deadline with the league office.

Got it. Thanks for that!

So maybe a three team trade with Minnesota and Charlotte, give up Turner, Hark, Ezeli, and our picks for Rubio, Deing and a guy from the hornets, maybe Marvin Williams...minny and Charlotte swap some guys in it...idk

You know, if the Spurs did win the championship at least we can say the Blazers developed Aldridge.

Right like the NBA is going to let them beat the warriors

Yes, only big, glamorous markets like Cleveland will be allowed to beat Golden State. The NBA would certainly never allow the dull-as-dishwater Spurs to win anything. Shame Tim Duncan didn't land on another team--he might have actually been a winner. ;)

Yeah that was a hyperbole by me. I just reckon Ezeli is worth nothing right now in the market.
he's a salary dump for any contender looking to trim luxury tax or resign 4 max players next year

Nurkic is just waisting away in Denver. Gets 8 minutes tonight. Neil, feel free, to get off your ass, ok thanks.

What do they want for him? I havent' seen much in the way of asking price but Matt Moore a writer for CBS that covers the Nuggets said they wanted a 1st and a young asset a month or so ago on his podcast.

It would be awesome if they'd take Meyers and a pick for him.

Idk, offer up cleveland pick and Vonleh and see if there's a deal there.

We can get Denver closer to floor by sending Meyers for Nurkic.
