Young players and picks? Awesome, we have young players and picks! Wait...do they have to be good young players?

Doesn't say anything about them having to be good! Alright Orlando, get ready for some hot Patrick Bergin Connaughton action!Young players and picks? Awesome, we have young players and picks! Wait...do they have to be good young players?
The problem with Ibaka is that he's going to be a free agent. Dude is gonna get paaaaaaiiiiid. But, if we could somehow nab Ibaka and then trade for Whiteside, that would be a really nice step in the right direction. That frontcourt would certainly improve our interior defense.
Orlando is so stupid.
So, Crabbe, Leonard and picks for Ibaka/Vucevic...?
According to the radio show I was listening to today, the Blazers had a top-10 offense and NBA worst defense for the first 30 games of the season, but over the past 19 games, they've got a top-10 defense and a bottom-10 offense. If that's the new normal, then perhaps we should be more concerned with improving/balancing the offense. That actually appears to work. Wouldn't that be somewhat enticing? Gives ORL a scoring wing and replaces one of the bigs they lost.
My primary concern is that it doesn't fix our lack of defense in our starting backcourt. Plumlee probably gets way to much blame as being a poor defender, when it is really the starting guards. You could bring in Ibaka and Vucevic and they could both end up looking bad also.

I don't think Orlando would do both Ibaka AND Vucevic.
I'd try to do this:

And then this summer trade CJ for Whiteside when he comes off the PPP restriction.
I like what youre doing here with this trade but CJ aint going no where no how unless we get a sure fire best player on the team type of guy. Whiteside aint worth it on his own.

Ibaka makes no sense unless we clear the payroll to resign him in the Summer. 3 months of him are not worth giving up anything for, certainly not draft picks.

Okafor is my bet. But I hope I am wrong.I still think Vucevic is Olsheys number one fantasy. I mean, he's everything he's ever dreamed about in a center. Great size, very good offensively, and average defensively.

I wonder what the real asking price is for either Ibaka or vucevic or both? Do we really have a legit shot at it? Both would change the team in one swift move, but at what cost?
The cake was KP's. I think Neil is torching the custard.
Well that goes without saying. Neither Vucevic or Okafor work next to Plumlee. They are both Centers. And yes I would love Ibaka instead. A Longshot to say the least.Okafor isn't even as bad as his rep has gotten, but he wouldn't work next to someone like Plumlee. But next to ibaka? Sure.
Gives the Blazers a chance to play with a Lillard trade in the near future and make this team Cj's team? Probably not though.

That remains to be seen. If you got Ibaka and the team defense still suffered mightily under the leadership of the Splash-and-Leak brothers, then you have to consider a second move.
