I don't think they're getting the ASG here regardless of what happened to the Lloyd Center. It sounds like the team didn't even submit a request to get the game here the last 2 times anywho. I kind of think they knew it was a fruitless effort.

They will get one.

The commish didn’t even mention Portland recently when the As and Oakland were messing up again. He named Vegas as the threat. I was a big believer in this when it first came out because of how confident and bold PDP sounded but lately you can just tell they lost a lot of steam.

Nationals, baby!
I'm pulling for the Nationals also but i have never really been a fan of theirs. Just was looking to see a new team win and they were there. Now if they win it will set a few new records. Never has a visiting team won every game on the road and never has a team without home field won all road games. There is a couple more but those a the big ones.

Their franchise also never won a World Series as the Nationals or Expos. I usually root for the underdog if my team is not there.

I think I'd stay with the Yankees and Mets since I didn't grow up watching baseball in Oregon. Although if Portland was in the World Series, I'd pull for Portland.
You missed out on same great Portland Beavers baseball teams.

Agree. I'd love to see baseball, football or hockey in Portland
Portland probably had the best triple A hockey team ever. They use do win the Lester Patrick Cup championship about every other year.
One year they played the major league hockey champions in a three game series and Portland won two of the three games.
The Portland Storm was a pretty decent football team. Not great but respectable.

It's already been debunked that is how that went down about Vegas. Besides, I think the PDP wants an expansion team and the A's leaving for Vegas pretty much guarantees that Portland would be one of those expansion teams, if they expand.

Its never happened that theres been all 6 games won by the road team.

Though its a bit misleading since not all series go 7 games... So id like to see how many game 7s have happenrd in sports. (Its never happened in any of the major sports).

Well it’s too bad MLB has no plans to expand in the foreseeable future.

Minor league sports for a minor league town

@VanillaGorilla

As a baseball fan, I get this. It's slow, the best players aren't always showcased during crunch time, etc.

I happen to adore baseball, and going to watch MLB live is a fantastic experience, but it's easy to understand why some people don't like it
Now everyone gets to @VanillaGorilla we have destroyed the internet!
