Probably, but that would also likely result in some people not being willing to ride with him.
Not if he puts his headshot and Bones credit up for all to see.

I don't know if there are any rules against it by Uber but you could make up a waiver for people to sign if you wanted to post the vids online.

Eh. I've taken uber twice, both in Spokane because it was slightly cheaper than renting a car for a day. But otherwise, I think uber is a waste of money for anything other than if you're going to the airport and travelling for days, or you're drunk. Other than That, I prefer to do everything on my own. Saves me money instead of paying someone 20 bucks to drive me 6 miles when it's cost me 2 bucks to do the same thing.

I feel the same way about grub hub and those things. It's a waste of money since I can just do it myself. If I'm too busy, I wait.

I use uber extensively overseas. It's useful to get past the language barrier in case there is one. And it usually works out cheaper than renting a car and paying for parking, etc.

In a foreign country, absolutely. I was strictly speaking in a local area of relative familiarity of local transit.

In Chicago and New York city, for instance, I used subways the entire time.

But in foreign countries I'd probably opt for ride share.

Here, though, almost never. But that's just me. It's successful for a reason.

I was in the phillipines and some 16 year old looking kid picked us up. He had no idea how to use the app, looked like a street kid. Just drove around aimlessly and stopped in front of a rock quarry and says "we're here". We were like wtf

LA is so much cheaper than other cities for Uber. I use Uber all the time, I hate driving on the weekend and I take Uber to the beach frequently which is 6 to 8 bucks a pop.

It’s a Mercedes Benz E Class. They were happy.

I want to!! I’m told it’s illegal though.

Dude. I am so embarrassed. I like to think of myself as an NBA expert but Antonio Blakeney scored 12 points in front of me and I didn’t notice! And to not recognize Wayne Selden? I’m a fraud. Would you have known them?

>I would think they are the pizza dudes at the hut...………….. The MB with a $20.00 eBay Chinese interior light array would be sharp (free shipping).
> Better yet! Home em out with Home Medics car massage seats _(with separate control-Of Course). You WILL be the Only One.
> They will call you and your MB anytime, even with illicit company._(Tip option). mmmm Massagers for optional use. Unfortunately, they will want you out .IMG_2465.JPG

Yes. Blakeney has a unique face hahs.

With so many places putting out tip jars and adding tip options on reciepts, I wish each business charged more. Pay the worker more and leave less guilt on the customer trying to figure out what is acceptable to tip. Provide good service regardless.

Oh stop, cheapscape.

I try to tip about 30% so I don't think I'm a bad tipper, but I agree with him. It'd be nice if it wasn't on me to figure out if they did a good job and tip someone for it. I assume it would make the base cost of those services go up, but I'd rather pay it there than feel like I cheated someone, or feel obligated to give a "bad" server more than I thought they deserved. It's their bosses job to decide how they're doing overall and compensate them for it not mine.

So you think Uber or Radio Cab should just pay their people more, charge more, and ditch the tip feature? I don't think so; the drivers definitely don't want that. As an owner of a small business, I'll tell you I couldn't afford to pay hourly what my employee end up getting from tips (combined with their hourly, that is). Running a small business is expensive af. I do however pay the goddamn taxes on all the tips my employees make so it'd be in my best interest to not accept tips, but I would never do that. This is the system we have, in the United States, and it works. It can get confusing sometimes, and honestly, I get a little anxious when it's not clear...

For example, I get my car cleaned from time to time at this place near Moda and I could never figure out how much to tip. So, I asked the person working the register what a normal tip was. She told me a range and I tipped at the top of that range. Happily.

Park Kitchen tried what you guys are talking about and it just made the employees bitter so they stopped.

30% is probably more than anyone else in here (for food). I'm a 25-30% myself. Always.

If there’s a tip option, I tip. Only time I wouldn’t is if the service was bad. Otherwise you’re just an asshole.

The problem comes from servers who “expect” something. Ive met way too many servers who feel like their job performance shouldnt matter and they should just get tipped well because thats how it works. I have no problem paying more or tipping and I understand for a small (or any business really) being price competitive is hard and that running a business is very expensive. I just think its weird that a server is having a crappy day and does a bad job and thus they get paid less. I go to work tomorrow and good day or not I get the same amount...
I have been to a few places and got crappy service and forced myself to tip the same because I feel obligated too, amd it just feels weird for me. I realize the system is what it is and it “kind of works” for most people.

edit: Also I understand the why the system is in place, and that servers like it because it increases potential earnings. I just feel weird that Im deciding what someone makes at their job when I see them do their job for such a portion of their day. Anyways just a weird system and when I go out I always keep in mind and budget to tip well. Theres part of me that wishes what I bought just was more expensive and someone ese decided who got paid more.

It's just different industries. You have a degree. Most service workers don't. They can get the job with a couple of certificates and a smile. For some it's a lifestyle thing, but mostly it's late bloomers or nonbloomers.

It's funny, most of the time servers won't notice what you've tipped, but they sure as hell notice when you don't.

As for bad service... Most places pool their tips or tip out the cooks or dishwashers... Some of them are probably working harder than your shitty server.

Anyone ever told you you're a conscientious motherfucker? Because you are.

Thanks!
I feel like to set the record straight, I only finished 2 1/2 years of college before I dropped out chasing alcohol and girls and basketball, definitely some bad decisions... I became a software engineer because when I wisened up I was able to prove to the right people that I could do it and they gave me an opportunity I didn't deserve. Mostly an MIT professor who gave me a year and a half worth of tutoring for free, it kind of set me into an always educate myself mentality so now I'm always taking some sort of college-level classes but I'm not working towards a degree.

I knew some places pooled their tips, which is actually pretty cool because so much work goes into making it so I can be lazy.
Anyways, thank you for giving me some perspective on tipping both from the small business owner point of view and how it's worked for other businesses who tried it.

I guess the Bulls didn’t fly home tonight. I just gave Antonio Blakeney and Wayne Selden a ride to their hotel. I had to look them up after they gave me their names and that is exactly who they were. I assumed they were Hornets initially so I said “I’m glad the Blazers won” and Wayne said “me too.” Jesus Christ. Blakeney wouldn’t put on his seatbelt so the car ding-ed the whole time. Wayne tipped me $34 in cash. To date, James Harden has yet to tip me.
Do you have a dashcam? To show harden

No worries, been called worse. Might be in the minority but just like a set price for what I am buying.

We go on a cruise every year. It costs more up front but we are not constantly shelling out dollars for service. I do not have a problem with the optional tip they usually put on our final bill. It is one time, no nickel and diming.

For grocery, I always shop at Winco if the price is close. Cannot use a credit card and get no rewards. However, the credit card fee they save seems to go to paying a living wage to employees.

I like to control my own destiny on tips as well. I have been to a few places where the tip was mandatory x % absolutely the worst service I ever got. I went to one place with a lot of my co -workers during a training seminar in California we were loud and crude as most mechanics are when given pub food and alcohol. I paid for the tab on my credit card to get the miles while everyone paid me for their meal/drinks/tips I laid down 160.00 dollars or so for the tip on the table (old school) on a $500.00 tab and was preparing to leave when the waitress came over and started bitching at me that I needed to leave a 10 percent tip. I asked her if she was sure about that and she said yes with about as much disdain as anyone can manage. I said ok if you insist I picked up the money from the table and counted out 50 dollars and said wow good service to make me take back 110 dollars on your tip and walked out.
When something is mandatory you get as little as possible then when you have to earn it. Just because you brought me my food that you are being paid to do does not mean you get a tip.

I tip my valets, bell boys and anybody that brings anything to my room, room service, ice, whatever at our hotels during the season. I tip severs at restaurants as well. Only people in my day to day interaction I don't tip, are my Uber/Lyft drivers. Don't know why. It feels different for some reason. No real reasoning behind it.

I'm guessing you probably rode with KingSpeed once.

The kid can't help it if you look like a criminal doing hard time at the rock quarry....he's probably Duterte's nephew
