Here is the cover version. The only version I had heard until yesterday.

Your amp and turntable are so cool. Much better than my old Dual and pioneer FET (field effect transistor, state of the art back in the olden days) front end receiver.
I recently found out that a favorite song of mine is a cover. Never knew Otis sung this.

One of the songs I heard the most often while I was in Vietnam was "On the Dock of the Bay".

I picked this up yesterday:

NIRVANA - MTV UNPLUGGED IN NEW YORK (PALLAS AUDIOPHILE QUALITY 180g VINYL PRESSED IN GERMANY):

I have to say, I am truly moved by this performance. This is what music is all about. It touches my soul. I have owned it on CD for years, but it's just not the same. This entire album is amazing, but side two is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish - both the performance and the sound quality. What's even more amazing is the entire performance, all 53 minutes and 50 seconds was done in a single take. Amazing talent, amazing performance and amazing live recording. I cannot recommend this pressing of this album highly enough. Everyone should hear it at least once. I broke out my best cartridge (Signet TK10ML microline) for this one, and I'm glad I did.

This is a tune I listened to in the early 70s when I had hair down to my shoulders, a full beard, bell bottom pants, a tight hippie shirt and cowboy boots. This was how I wanted to look after getting out of the army.

loved hot tuna, loved papa john creach

I saw one of his last concerts before he killed himself a few years ago. He was absolutely incredible and still had a first class band behind him. That first Montrose album is up there with LZ's first album in my opinion. If they'd have followed it up with some decent follow ups the band would have been a household name. Ronnie was also a great studio guitarist and played on some of Van Morrison's best albums.

You gotta check these guys out. They are releasing their second album soon and I've heard it really builds on what their first.

I love Greta Van Fleet. I have From the Fires, and can't wait to check out Anthem of the Peaceful Army!

Just checked on YouTube. They posted a song from the new album just a few hours ago. Sounds pretty damn good.

I randomly heard them on the radio a while back and I could have sworn that Robert Plant started a new band or something.

Canned Zeppelin. Yuck.
I think they are young and talented though. I agree that I don't wanna like them just cuz they sound like Zeppelin. Nobody will ever be able to touch those 4 musicians, but if these kids grow and bring something new to the table I'll be very into it. Also, at least they are playing real instruments instead of some drum board.

One of the greatest pop songs ever written. From one of the most underappreciated bands in history.
