Been listening to a lot of Neneh Cherry lately. Love her latest solo effort, Blank Project. I wish more artists had her guts. She's fearless.
 



Mastadon just dropped their latest batch of Progressive Metal Goodness. Up to their usual great standards. I love it better than their last two albums which were patchy for me.
 
Going to the Andre Nickatina concert tonight at the roseland. One of my favorite rappers of all time.

If those two gangs weren't fighting which each other, they'd be beefing with KL. Gang violence is an example of the broader contempt between society.
 


So hard to believe it's been 15 years since Layne Staley's death. I don't think I've met a single person who's listened to him and not been moved. He had the voice of a mourning angel.
