We are not getting Grant without a pick, but why does it have to be this year's pick? Detroit does not seem to want to keep Grant, so unless someone comes up with a better offer, a future pick and the TPE might be good enough.

im talking about #1 recruits, not #1 draft picks. Gonzaga having lotto picks to begin with is a testament to their program, and shouldn’t be held against them or the players that have been drafted in the lottery.

I see now. Recruits do make a difference. Gonzaga will continue to get them and they will hopefully continue to grow as a basketball program.

Exactly! The rumor was always bledsoe or TPE with this year #36 pick, one of the first round pick New Orleans own us which is now the bucks 2025 1st round pick, and Keon Johnson. That’s a solid haul for an overrated player that has one more year left.
 
There is 0% chance we get the 7th pick. We are getting a top 4 pick. I called it weeks ago.
 
Well I just simed on Tankathon for the first and only time today and #1 overall. Surely they take Jabari Smith or Banchero, right? Right?!?!?!?!?

Funny part is this is just for the pick. After today it's all about who they choose.

There is only a couple players I would want in the Top 10 that MIGHT be players that might be instant to maybe 1 yr to grow into a minor star or better type player --

Banchero , Jabari and maybe the young man from Iowa --Murray

If the the Blazers feel like they are not rdy or cannot get them then you trade down OR out and get a vet and a future 1st or something


I am crossing all my fingers and toes for the Blazers and hope they get a top 4 pick but the way this season has gone expecting the worse scenario.

Domantas Sabonis and Rui Hachimura.

Now name the last guy from Auburn or Iowa taken in the top 10 that turned out to be a good NBA player.

If that's the logic you use for not drafting a player then you need to do more research on the actual player.
 
Gonzaga players are overrated!! If the blazers somehow get the #1 pick and draft chet homgren I'ma be so mad

Holmgren will be fine. Has the tools to be a bigger Andrei Kirilenko in the NBA.

That said, I wouldn't take him before #3.

I would take Kirilenko #1 overall in todays NBA, that dude was ahead of his time.

I do tend to like players that grow up playing guard....before they have a huge growth spurt.

Yes god, damn it Jabari Smith, not Parker the injured list superstar. Anyone in the top 7 but Chet at that pick. I'm TERRIFIED we might be that effing dumb. I would maybe roll the dice at 7 if Ivey, Sharpe, Banchero, and Smith are gone...maybe, but I'd still hesitate that guy has mega bust written all over him to me.

I'm all about drafting a big and I still take Ivey or Sharpe at 3 before Chet assuming Banchero and Smith are gone. I probably take Keegan Murray as well over Chet, just NO!

If The Blazers pick is 4 or later and Chet is available? They better take him. What are you thinking?
Never mind? Chet is going 1, 2, or 3. Even if the Blazers get one of those picks they might take him. If they get 3 and he's there they will take him.
Bet on it.
 
Remember when heckling Stephen A. Smith at the draft was a thing?
