Maybe we could pkg a player, 7 & Milwaukee pick for Detroit's 5 and you know who.
No. Weaver isn't going to get played like Cronin did.

YeS, wHaT a DiSaStEr We MoVeD dOwN oNe WhOlE pIcK oH nO! This is soooo much worse than losing in the play-in perhaps with career-ending injuries to the guys who would have played for all we know. Frankly, my scenario of an injury that lingers into next season or beyond, is wayyyy more likely than us making it past the first round. Mein Got!Yeah, it worked brilliantly for the Blazers!
Dream Weaver? No. Weaver isn't going to get played like Cronin did.
Dennis Weaver? No. Weaver isn't going to get played like Cronin did.
A few? Think again. I can see you sit at home and watch on illegal free streams.
Lets hope for the best. It's all we can do now. Hopefully the Blazers stay injury free next year and they put together a good team that competes and gives Chauncey a good run. This summer ain't over yet.

Detroit might have a player they want in that 7 plus range so by trading down they could come out ok.
Dang! Troy is boring.Troy
Sorry to disappoint
and player, plus pick's & 7.Wait so we get to trade up and acquire Grant by adding that pick that will likely be in the high 20s three years from now?
The Chicago/Cleveland trade that got us Nance Jr for a couple months.
I don't know what you're saying. Are you implying that we also send players and other future draft assets? If so what player(s) and what asset(s)?and player, plus pick's & 7.
Do they get the pick next year if we're not in the lottery or does it convey to a second round pick after this year?
Why do they need him off their books?Especially since they need Grant off their books, and he's not in their plans going forward. There's a price for cap relief.
I don't actually think they'd want Hart because he's not in that window that so many of the players on that roster are in and is why they're going to unload Grant but probably fuck us over while they do it.
They get it I believe until it conveys
I think they're looking for players in the same age range as 90% of their team and he isn't. I don't think they want him to walk for nothing at the end of next season. They're not going to give him the extension that he wants or even anything close to it. So they're going to move him.Why do they need him off their books?
Because they're not going to pay him 20 mil. + when he doesn't fit their youth movement. Why do they need him off their books?
Ok. But they don't need to move him. They are playing from a position of strength more than we are.I think they're looking for players in the same age range as 90% of their team and he isn't. For one more year? They don't have to move him. He is not some albatross contract with multiple years holding them down.Because they're not going to pay him 20 mil. + when he doesn't fit their youth movement.
ThisThey are going young and are about to draft another first round pick. They would be happy to move him and get two first rnd picks this year to add to their young roster.
That said, what's to stop them from being greedy and saying they want the 7th or if we trade it for the 9th and #25 or #13 and #15, from saying they want the better of the two picks. If the Blazers really want Grant, they can dictate the price.
Exactly. They are in the drivers seat, not us.They are going young and are about to draft another first round pick. They would be happy to move him and get two first rnd picks this year to add to their young roster.

Like I said how little would they take for him and how much more than that is Cronin going to give them? That's the only question that matters right now... until we see a tweet from Shams or Woj that Cronin has moved on from Grant.Ok. But they don't need to move him. They are playing from a position of strength more than we are.
Looks like it's lottery protected from 2022-2028 then after that it conveys to a second round pick.

I disagree. They have young players (Stewart , Bey) who need more minutes. Grant doesn't fit anymore.Ok. But they don't need to move him. They are playing from a position of strength more than we are.

I mean, I don't think we would be the only team.in the league trying to convince themselves Grant is our missing piece (which is hilarious). There would be a bidding war, not a ok Portland, we will let you move down and we will gladly take the worse of the picks you have just because.Like I said how little would they take for him and how much more than that is Cronin going to give them?
