My father in law just got diagnosed with lung cancer last week. Super early stages though. They caught it while doing an MRI on his shoulder. Mantle cell lymphoma.

Was your dad’s lung cancer similar? Is he 100% clear of the cancer?

He’s 100% clear and has been for a long time. Diagnosed in 2010. Dude had a massive tumor in his lung. They gave him 8 years and he is still going after 13. But his quality of life is really bad. He developed rheumatoid arthritis as a result of all the treatment. He is basically down to one lung and he can’t walk far or do anything exerting. But at the same time, I don’t think he has really tried to improve his quality of life. He doesn’t have much fight left in him.

Old coaching trick. Passing takes less energy than shooting. Force him to have to create his own shots instead of passing for open layups. Stay close, and beat them at the end.

The treatment has improved drastically. I lost my grandmother to lung cancer back in the 90s. She was a smoker. Dad was a smoker. They’re developing new treatments all the time. I hope everything works out for your FIL.
