I can't get any Portland stations because for some strange reason Benton County is considered part of the designated Eugene media market. I'm just across the river from Linn County and only a few miles from Polk and Marion Counties. So close to the designated Portland market I can smell it. It's infuriating.

Kval is a Sinclair affiliate station and the way I read it the games supposed on the affiliate stations too.

KATU has an alternate channel called Charge that will be carrying most Blazer games.
It is available on You Tube!

KATU Charge is available on YouTubeTV? Is this confirmed?
If so I may switch from Fubo to YouTubeTV.
But I'll have a BlazerVision subscription too. :)
 
Is it safe to assume I would be blocked from streaming on the Xfinity app without the subscription?

I would assume you can stream the KATU Charge channel the same you can all the other Xfinity channels you have via your subscription package.
KATU Charge appears to be a basic channel on Comcast Xfinity.

I found a channel called charge on YouTube TV. Is it the same one? I don't know. Is it a local or national feed? I don't know.

According to the website it looks like that is in fact the KATU Charge! channel.

So in Austin I get this list - I can't imagine they'll have Blazers games OTA down here.... I'm guessing you can only watch Blazer games on Charge if its a Portland local feed so that would probably be the first 4 items on your list. I just doubt you'll see it at all for those other national options (Dish/Youtube/SlingTV/etc) Would be nice to get some more official confirmation on this.

I'm also confused by that link HCP had earlier - I think it was an Aaron Fentress article or something - that said Jan 1st all the channels were changing and then DirecTV could watch. That will be even more confusing if this whole setup is only for 10 weeks and then everybody's channels to watch games change.

Yep. DirecTV customers can’t watch a Blazer game until Jan 1st and then it’s on Univision channel I believe.

Yeah but Fentress article also said the OTA channel would change from 2.2 or whatever to a different channel for all of Portland... Just seems odd for the Blazers to deploy this new OTA setup then 10 weeks later totally change all the channels again.

I want to see a source besides Fentress confirm this Jan 1st change.

I think it had to do with prior contract priorities or something like that. I'm okay with it.

I believe if there is a conflict of some sort the games will be on Univision.

Okay, so reading through this i think i need an antenna or subscribe to youtube tv now or im assed out?

i have dstream, hulu, fandango, disney & peacock

so first blazers sign with root who almost no one has until root was picked up by dtv.

Now they sign with yet another channel not already on the main viewing companies?

Why cant these channels agree to all three?

it sounds like this is much better than root, but still forcing most people to make yet another change of some sort???
And the. Once i get charge i need to figure out how to record because it isn't on my normal recordable options?

I am not a fan of technology.


I know I know… get off my lawn!!!


But really… some stability without constant change would be nice…..

Antennas are available for like $6 on Amazon. This isn't exactly new tech.
