Possibly one of the best and most promising young backcourts/wing in the NBA right now is the Curry-Thompson-Barnes combo. I like the idea Dame-Oladipo-Nic better.

After listening to Pelton and reading this, my view of Len has dropped precipitously. I seriously doubt he goes first.

With the draft projections being all over the place its sure seems like someone is going to make a move to take a chance on someone and they are going to get burned

For sure. This is one of those drafts where players in the teens or 20's could be better than the lottery guys

Scouting is key for this draft more than others. Like Olshey said, there are no bad drafts, just bad drafters

Chad Ford on the BS report
Mostly arguing Oladipo vs. Noel.

Ford really doesn't like McLemore - 2 years older than Noel, and was a PF in high school (which is why, says Ford, he can't dribble). Says a lot of the "passivity" stuff was actually because he couldn't create.

Says about Adams "could be one of the steals of the draft" and that he's hilarious, and charms everybody he talks to.

After listening to this, I bet the Blazers will take KCP if he's there (but that he probably won't) and Adams if he's not.

Ford thinks the mid-teens to mid-20s is going to be almost all international players. Olynyk falls into the group AFTER that (along with Dieng and Hardaway Jr.).

Shane.

Larkin.

Scott Howard-Cooper ‏@SHowardCooper 23 Jun Rise of Steven Adams continues. A team told me they rated him the 7th-best prospect, now he has a Mon workout in SAC, the team with No. 7.

Called it, but not surprised at all.

I was up for an Adams (10th pick) / McCollum (trading for DAL's 13th) draft over 2 months ago and now both guys seem likely to be picked before us.

Fun fact: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, AKA "last year's Oladipo" is actually a year and 4 months younger than Oladipo.

Man, I wish either of them could shoot worth a damn.

Lillard/Oladipo/MKG/Aldridge/Some defensive center would be a great defensive team, with the right coaching. Lillard has made it clear he wants to become a strong defender. Spacing would be horrific, unless Oladipo's shot really did improve as much as it appeared in college, but I'm not sold on that.

Ok guys, if we draft Adams and keep him and then bring in a vet big to start, then do we keep Meyers as well? if we trade Mayers what kind of value would he have?

Hmm could it possible. Trade Batum to Wizards for 3, Trade 10/Leonard/Greek guy to Bobcats for MKG. Doubt either team takes either trade but it could happen.

OT - Am I the only bummed out that the NBA hasn't invited Shabazz Muhammad to the Green Room?

Not that I'm a fan, but there's got to be at least one guy in the Green Room with a big ego that you get to watch sit there all uncomfortably while random Euro's get picked over him.

Out of the current group, who do ya'll see waiting the longest?

Nerlens Noel (Kentucky); Victor Oladipo (Indiana); Otto Porter (Georgetown); Alex Len (Maryland); Anthony Bennett (UNLV); Ben McLemore (Kansas); Trey Burke (Michigan); Michael Carter-Williams (Syracuse); C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) and Cody Zeller (Indiana), as well as Steven Adams (Pittsburgh), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Georgia) and Sergey Karasev (Russia).

The money has got to be on either Adams or Karasev for a slide, but they'll probably take it better than if McLemore falls from a potential #1 to the #6-10 range. I can see that dude getting really upset, still sitting around after five picks.

I'm usually not a fan of schadenfreude, but I love it on draft night...

Man, that cat is falling fast isn't he? Would love to find out what has happened!

I've always loved watching the huge egos sit and wait as well.

I'd think Karasev will be the last taken of that group, but I think there's a decent chance that MCW could slide too.

Kantavious Caldwell-Pope thinks he will go to Minnesota at 9 if he's there (I do too). Also went to Port, Cleve, Bos, Dallas and Milwaukee.
