The whole trade deadline for us was just to save paul allen money. Dumb.

That and avoid all of the other penalties that go along with being a repeat offender next year. This was a must do for the team.

He doesn't have enough you know. It's not like he got a massive billionaire tax break this year and just saw the value of the franchise soar on the Forbes list. Gotta save that $$$ for another yacht submarine or whatever.

Now we have to watch as we get beat out of the playoffs by teams who got better at the trade deadline. Might as well start looking for our next point guard now.

Whelp, we can add a loss tonight to the costs of this day. Ed's going to be too drunk from celebrating not getting traded to be worth a damn.

Who below us in the standings got enough better to pass us? I am honestly curious. I haven't seen every deal yet but it seems like the teams that got better are in the East.

We are stuck till 2020 with Turner and the DNP brothers.

Every single game we are going to have to watch them and know that Neil used our last two trades simply to undo his mistakes. What a baffoon. If it was Allen that demanded they be signed then he's the baffoon.

yeah. screw trying to make the team better in any way. gotta make the richest NBA owner pay less. thats the #1 priority.

Since this summer the Trail Blazers have saved $37M in luxury tax penalties without giving up a first-round pick with the Allen Crabbe and Noah Vonleh trade. Portland now goes under the luxury tax this season. The Trail Blazers now have 2 open roster... https://t.co/VnZkxIgzpR

Neil earning his keep!

Quite amazing that Tyreke Evans wasn't dealt in the end. Philadelphia will regret that.

Well this is somewhat the bright-side to look at it. Most teams DO have to give up a first to get out of the financial hole so at least we avoided that. But you could also say we got into it ourselves so that is on us.

In proud Olshey tradition, we basically give up a player for ....NOTHING!
And also apparently agreed to pay his salary for the rest of the year! WTH did we get out of this trade?

He's more accountant now than GM.

Are you saying that Neil still works for the Clippers?

So we are under the luxury tax, so what happens next? Can we sign a top Free Agent now? Sorry don’t know about Cap space or Luxuey Tax.
